Let’s Get Ready is a premier event here in Michigan. This is the fifth installment of the camp and there are definitely aspects that people look forward to. One of these highlights of Let’s Get Ready V will be the King of the Hill competition. There’s a lot of pride on the line here, as players will square up 1-on-1 and go at it. Let’s take a look at some players that could contend for the King of the Hill title.

[player_tooltip player_id="986247" first="Amari" last="Allen"] (2023, Hamtramck)

Allen is a beast defensively. Probably one of the best in the state. He’s going to make his opponents earn every bucket.

[player_tooltip player_id="787660" first="Ashton" last="Atwater"] (2022, Otsego)

After what we saw at the Top 250, Atwater should be considered a favorite. Tune in, trust me.

[player_tooltip player_id="1140931" first="Kendall" last="Bentley"] (2024, River Rouge)

Bentley is a tough athlete that can create and execute from the mid range. He’ll be a tough out in King of the Hill.

[player_tooltip player_id="1144782" first="Jalen" last="Davis"] (2022, South Lake)

Don’t let Davis sneak up on you. His quickness and physicality will make him a threat.

[player_tooltip player_id="1076038" first="Trey" last="Kolakovich"] (2023, Croswell-Lexington)

Kolakovich’s speed and second step burst could be really tough to stop in this event.

[player_tooltip player_id="1130949" first="Zachary" last="Kroetsch"] (2023, Croswell-Lexington)

Kroetsch is a real threat in King of the Hill. He can create his own looks at the rim and shoots at a high percentage.

[player_tooltip player_id="1076004" first="Donovan" last="McDonald"] (2023, Croswell-Lexington)

McDonald has some length and a lot of bounciness for his opponents to content with. He could get a lot of 2nd chance possessions.

[player_tooltip player_id="1130946" first="Brennan" last="McKenzie"] (2023, Adrian)

His defense has looked tremendous over the last month or so and even in King of the Hill......Defense can win championships.

[player_tooltip player_id="1300883" first="Grady" last="Nash"] (2022, Imlay City)

Nash has the size, strength, and ball skills to make a very serious run at the King of the Hill title.

[player_tooltip player_id="1111925" first="Anthony" last="Ribel"] (2024, Traverse City Central)

Ribel has had an terrific summer season. His ability to shoot with range and also finish under the rim in traffic should transfer well to this event.

[player_tooltip player_id="1076045" first="Tyler" last="Robertson"] (2023, Ida)

Robinson is a multi level scorer that can handle the ball. That’s a great combo in King of the Hill.

[player_tooltip player_id="1111924" first="EJ" last="Ryans"] (2024, Northview)

Ryans should be considered a VERY real threat to win this. Ryans seems to always get high percentage looks.

[player_tooltip player_id="863960" first="Trucel" last="Singleton"] (2022, Benton Harbor)

Singleton is a grinder that’s just nasty with the ball. His first step speed will be tough to stop.

[player_tooltip player_id="1140325" first="Mason" last="Struck"] (2024, Chesaning)

Struck’s versatile game and high basketball IQ could take him a long ways in this part of Let’s Get Ready.

[player_tooltip player_id="987644" first="Tyran" last="Thomas"] (2023, Northview)

Thomas is one of the better pure athletes in the state. That’s tough to beat in a King of the Hill setting.

[player_tooltip player_id="863922" first="Brady" last="Titus"] (2022, Tri-Unity Christian)

He has to be one of the favorites. Titus is an old fashioned bucket getter at the highest level.

[player_tooltip player_id="1140335" first="MJ" last="Yeager"] (2024, Saginaw Nouvel)

Yeager can light it up from behind the arc. If he starts feeling it, that can be a game changer in this event.
