Jalen Carlino Jalen Carlino 6'0" | PG Kenosha Bradford | 2022 State WI (5’11 2022 PG, Kenosha Bradford)- Jalen Carlino Jalen Carlino 6'0" | PG Kenosha Bradford | 2022 State WI is primed for a big time senior year, and you can tell he’s gunning for that conference player of the year award. In a big win over rival Indian Trail, Carlino showed off his advanced feel for the game and pace with the ball. Whenever he has the ball he’s in full control of the game, and able to get to whatever spot on the floor he wants to. When his defender sagged off he simply pulled up and knocked down jumpers, but he was also able to use a quick crossover and change of speed to attack the basket. He finished off his looks consistently, and was also zipping in passes to find his cutting teammates towards the basket.
MJ Stackhouse (6’6 2024 PF, Kenosha Indian Trail)- One of the top prospects in the Southeast Conference this season, the 6’6 sophomore is a physical presence inside. At times he simply overpowered older players around the rim, able to muscle them into deep paint position and then elevate to score with his left hand. He also showed some improved perimeter game, able to use one dribble to get into space and pull up for some mid-range jumpers. His shooting form looked good and he gets nice arc and rotation on his jumper. MJ also showed some speed in transition, able to beat opposing bigs up and down the floor. He threw down two powerful dunks, and was also the best shot blocker I watched all day.
Kenny Garth Kenny Garth 6'2" | CG Westosha Central | 2022 State WI (6’2 2022 CG, Westosha Central)- I’ve said it before, but Kenny Garth Kenny Garth 6'2" | CG Westosha Central | 2022 State WI would be putting up big numbers on most other teams in the state. Even with a D1 prospect next to him and plenty of other future college players, Kenny manages to stand out. His three point shot looked as accurate as ever, and he’s so shifty off the bounce. Able to create space whenever he wants to with his quick crossover, Kenny was simply in attack mode all game. Garth can elevate to finish above the rim, and is also a talented passer who can deliver no-look dimes when he gets in the lane. I also really like his potential defensively as he’s an athletic guard with long arms that can poke balls free or get up and jump passing lanes.
Andrew Alia Andrew Alia 6'2" | SG Kenosha St. Joseph | 2022 State WI (6’3 2022 G, Kenosha St. Joseph)- Andrew has produced at a high level since his freshman season, and looks primed for a big time senior year. At around 6’3-6’4 he has nice size and has the skill to play either guard spot at this level. He passed the ball well and really uses his height to see the floor on the perimeter, able to zip passes above his defender to find cutting teammates inside. Andrew has once of the best mid-range games in the state, able to create his own shot off the dribble and elevate to score over his defender’s outstretched hand. He has a strong frame and can glide to the basket allowing him to turn the corner off screens and get to the rim to finish in traffic.
Elijah Griffin Elijah Griffin 6'1" | PG Westosha Central | 2025 State #352 Nation WI (5’10 2025 PG, Westosha Central)- Yet another prospect to track out of Westosha Central, Elijah is a freshman point guard with a quick handle and deep range. Against Kenosha St. Joseph Elijah was torching the opposing defense in the first half, as he was simply finding space with his off-ball movement to get open looks from three. He was one of the quickest releases you’ll find, which makes him dangerous coming off screens because defenders aren’t able to catch up in time before he gets his shot off. Not sure what his role will be as a freshman, but has some potential moving forward.
Charlie Rampulla (6’ 2023 PG, Union Grove)- Charlie saw a small role off the bench last season as a sophomore, but looks ready to be one of his team’s best players this winter. He was a composed ball handler for Union Grove in their two games, playing with nice change of pace to pick his spots and get to them off the bounce. Charlie was able to read the defense and take what they gave him, whether it was a pull-up jumper or a lane to get to the basket. He showed crafty finishing ability with either hand, and was also a consistent shooter when left open beyond the arc.
Asanjai Hunter Asanjai Hunter 5'10" | PG The Prairie School | 2022 State WI (5’11 2022 PG, The Prairie School)- Asanjai Hunter Asanjai Hunter 5'10" | PG The Prairie School | 2022 State WI is as quick as they come at the point guard spot, and he simply lives in the paint. He has a nose for the basket and can attack with either hand, making it a difficult task for defenders to stay in front of him. Even when going full speed he always seems under control, and can thread the needle with a last second pass or finish creatively around size. His speed also allows him to make plays defensively, as he can slide into position to take a charge, move his feet to pick his man’s pocket, or jump passing lanes and take off running for a quick two points in transition.
Keviyon Price (6’5 2022 F, Kenosha Bradford)- Keviyon provides a tough interior presence on both ends of the floor for Bradford. He has a long frame and is a constant double-double threat due to his rebounding ability. In the post he showed some improved footwork to create wide open looks at the rim, but he also handled the ball better than I’ve seen before as he was going coast-to-coast for some transition buckets. He’s not really a true post player in size, but brings a lot of versatility to the spot as he can defend on the perimeter, attack from the wing, and also do the dirty work down low against bigger players.
