Cape Fear HS Forward Jeremiah Melvin Jeremiah Melvin 6'5" | SF Cape Fear High | 2024 State NC checks in at #81 and is a player that we were impressed with over the summer during grassroots tournaments. On several occasions he put together dominant performances playing with his age group and we look forward to seeing some of these same types of performances with his high school team.
Northwood Temple Samir Gibbs comes in at the #83 spot after several successful seasons in the Wilmington area. Last season he averaged 14 PPG for Harrells Christian and helped the team reach a record of 13-8 and an appearance in the NCISAA State Tournament. A player that enjoys making plays off the dribble, this season will be a good test for him as he will compete with some very talented Guards in the Fayetteville area.
Stepping in at #87 is Grace Christian Steven McLeod Steven McLeod 6'2" | CG GRACE Christian | 2024 State NC who is a player that did not see time on the varsity level last year but had some outstanding showings over the summer and will definitely be a player with a larger role this season. A quick guard that has a chance to be a good scorer and outstanding overall player, he will look to pick up where his older brother left off with helping his team to make some noise in the NCISAA.
Wayne Country Day Wing Kayleb Coles Kayleb Coles 6'6" | PF Wayne Country Day | 2024 State NC bring his high flying act to the #92 spot after an impressive freshman season with Wayne Prep and Flight 22 . Standing at close to 6’6 with athleticism, scoring ability and all the tools to be a dominant defender, you can see why we are intrigued and excited about what he can potentially be.
Landing at #93 is Laney HS Guard Josh Helms Josh Helms 6'0" | CG Laney | 2024 State NC , a player that we got the chance to see as an 8th grader who has continued to progress nicely over the last year. His ability to score was always evident but since his arrival to Laney, he’s taken on more of a dual threat PG role by increasing how much he facilitates to teammates.
Rounding out the group at #99 is Elevation Prep Guard Brandon Smith Brandon Smith 6'4" | CG Elevation Prep | 2024 State NC , a 6’4 Guard that found his rhythm early on as a freshman and showed some flashes of how good he can be over the summer. His ability to score the ball is the attribute that stands out almost immediately when you watch him, he looks to attack defenders and doesn’t hesitate about being aggressive to score.
