Here are the top under the radar forwards in the 2024 class who are set for big summers.
Dylan Seay Dylan Seay 6'5" | PF Camden | 2024 NJ , 6’5 SF/PF St. John Vianney
Seay had a strong debut season for the Lancers and has a chance to build on it with Team Final this summer. The 6’5 forward has a strong frame which he uses to finish around the basket and draw contact. Seay can handle the ball on the perimeter and is capable of knocking open jumpers. He is a strong rebounder and an underrated passer. Seay is a skilled forward prospect who is set for a big summer.
Philip Unagst, 6’6 SF St. Thomas Aquinas
Unagst missed most of the season with an injury, but should make up for lost time with the Hilltoppers this summer. The 6’6 forward can attack the basket from the perimeter and finish above the rim. Unagst has a nice release on his jumper and his range extends past the three-point line. He is a good rebounder and uses his length to make an impact on the defensive end. Unagst’s combination of size, length and skill will make a prospect to watch this summer.
Owen Griffin Owen Griffin 6'4" | SF St. Joe's Metuchen | 2024 State NJ , 6’4 SF St. Joe’s Metuchen
Griffin had a good spring for Hoop Heaven Hawks Elite and it should carry over into the summer. The 6’4 wing is comfortable playing in the post as he has good footwork and a nice touch. Griffin can also play on the perimeter as he can put the ball on the floor and knock down jumpers. He attacks the glass on both ends of the floor and moves his feet well on the defensive end. Griffin is a two-way wing who should continue to improve his game as the summer rolls on.
Brendan Oliver Brendan Oliver 6'6" | SG Blair Academy | 2025 State NJ , 6’4 SF Newark Academy
Oliver had a solid first season of varsity basketball and will look to build on it with NJ Legacy this summer. The 6’4 wing is at his best attacking the basket as he is a good finisher around the rim and can draw contact. Oliver is more than just a slasher as he can hit open jumpers from the perimeter and is an underrated passer. He is a good rebounder and has the potential to defend multiple positions on the floor. Oliver is just starting to scratch the surface of his potential, which makes him an intriguing prospect to watch this summer.
Emeka Iroka Emeka Iroka 6'5" | PF Union | 2024 NJ , 6’5 SF Union
Iroka is ready for a big summer with PPA Elite as he will get to show his skillset. The 6’5 forward is a big-time athlete that likes to finish above the rim. Iroka has a nice handle and is an underrated passer. He is a strong rebounder and has the athleticism to defend multiple positions. Iroka is an athletic wing prospect who is ready to explode onto the scene this summer.
