Fabian Desilva, Quiet Storm 17U, 6-5, CG, 2022, Eagle’s Landing (pictured above)
TRAITS: Showing off his handle more often now as a downhill PG, great strength off the bounce, great frame, terrific in the mid-range, pretty good distributor rebounds like a post and can shift to the 2, 3, or even 4-spot easily, is a 15&7 guy every time out with the ability to go much higher in either category, serious riser on a deep, returning 5A state championship crew at ELHS.
Ahmed Soumahoro Ahmed Soumahoro 6'3" | SG Berkmar | 2022 State GA , Quiet Storm 17U, 6-3, SG, 2022, Berkmar
TRAITS: Explosive on another level getting off the deck for thunderous dunks, momentum-changing athleticism from the guard spot be it attacking from the wing or erasing shots as a defender, sleek mover in the open floor whose perimeter shooting has come a long way, still more dynamic going to hole but good length makes him a versatile defender as well, a must-watch entertainer who returns this winter along with a deep cast for the 7A state finalist Patriots.
Charles Gauthier, Quiet Storm 17U, 6-0, PG, 2022, Marietta
TRAITS: Classic lead guard who can bounce between exceptional pass-first distributor and lethal scoring PG, serious shooting range well past the arc, excellent speed with the ball, likes to be on the perimeter but not at all afraid of getting into the teeth, top athlete and well-schooled on-ball defender, sleeper PG to watch in the ATL-metro.
David Culbreath, Tribe ATL 15U, 5-10, PG, 2024, Home-Schooled
TRAITS: Arguably the GA MVP of the weekend with his dynamic all-around play, pushes pace like few others I’ve seen in the class, great burst to in the open or attacking seams in the D, can seriously hurt you spotting up at the arc but has plenty of blow-by ability, terrific instincts on defense both on the ball or cutting into passing lanes, we’ll see how many radars he can pop up on not currently having a HS platform to play on.
Corey Gatlin II Corey Gatlin II 6'1" | PG Berkmar | 2024 State GA , Tribe ATL 15U, 5-11, CG, 2024, Grayson
TRAITS: The Rams guard pipeline rolls on with this lightning-fast combo player who slides effortlessly between spots, as good a blow-by ability as the event had, has shown growth this AAU season both in decision-making and control, has knockdown ability from both perimeter levels and slices into the teeth extremely well, another superb on-ball defender, teamed with Culbreath to form a lethal dose at both ends.
Joel Iberosi, Tribe ATL 15U, 6-1, SF, 2024, Peachtree Ridge
TRAITS: The ultimate team guy without a shred of ego it seems, makes winning plays at both ends attacking the glass like a much taller player and ending up the beneficiary in close of Culbreath, Gatlin or Cam Thornton (another good-looking guard out of Lanier) feeds, can help a team in so many ways outside of just scoring and just gets what it takes to be a team guy.
