No. 9 Levi Birkholz Levi Birkholz 5'2" | SG Lakeside Luthersn | 2023 State #290 Nation WI – SG – Wisconsin Crusaders
As a prospect, some might scoff at this ranking, but I just trust Birkholz every time he steps on the floor. The Lakeside Lutheran wing has been extremely consistent, risen to the occasion in high-level contests, and his team just wins. An explosive above the rim wing, Birkholz has also shot the ball consistently, making him very difficult to defend. Birkholz is also very unselfish and is the type of prospect that’s fine not scoring any points if it means his teammates are thriving and his team is winning.

No. 23 Max Lucey Max Lucey 6'4" | SF Cuba City | 2023 State WI – SF – Wisconsin Swing
Having a feeling that Lucey will just continue to rise up this list. An athletic three-level scorer with good positional size (6-4), there’s a lot of tools to work with. As a sophomore, Lucey put up about 11 points per game while shooting 63 percent from the field, including 52 percent from 3-point range for a loaded Cuba City squad. Lucey gets the job done on both ends of the floor and is one of the most well-rounded prospects in 2023.

No. 33 William Whorton William Whorton 6'8" | PF Rufus King | 2023 State WI – F – Wisconsin Playground Club
Whorton slid down the rankings last summer, but now he’s starting to show consistent flashes and earn a lot of quality minutes for PGC. One of the highest ceiling prospects in the 2023 class, Whorton is a lanky, athletic forward with a junkyard dog-like mentality. The 6-foot-8 forward impacts games with second-chance points, blocked shots, and momentum-changing dunks. Has a long way to go skills-wise, but his energy and motor have moved him way up the list this spring.

No. 36 A.J. Lieuwen A.J. Lieuwen 6'0" | CG Bay Port | 2023 State WI – G – Team 1848
Lieuwen has held his own against high level competition this spring and put together some eye-opening performances. As a sophomore, he averaged around 11 points per game, while shooting 54 percent from the field, including 42 percent from downtown. A guard with pace and the ability to score in isolation settings, Lieuwen is a deadly pull-up jump shooter. He pairs that with playmaking ability on the ball, constantly attacking high percentage areas and probing with the basketball.
No. 37 Dino Cook Dino Cook 6'4" | SF Kingdom Prep | 2023 State WI – SF – World Hoops Elite
Cook is still pretty raw, but has taken some nice steps forward this spring. A plus-length 6-foot-4 wing that can get hot and stay hot from downtown, Cook showed some outstanding floor spacing ability at the Midwest Showdown. He’s tightened his handle, is playing lower to the ground, and showing flashes of being able to take defenders off the dribble and making things happen on the ball. Still plenty of ceiling left, Cook is a prospect that can continue to climb the rankings in a hurry.

No. 54 Brogan McIntyre Brogan McIntyre 6'5" | SF Milton | 2023 State WI – SF – Madison Spartans
A 3-and-D type prospect, McIntyre is a terrific catch-and-shoot threat who also plays physical defense. McIntyre has good size at 6-foot-3 and doesn’t need the ball right in his shooting pocket in order to get in rhythm. McIntyre also plays well in transition. He runs the wings hard and has some above the rim ability. As a sophomore, McIntyre posted around six points and four rebounds per game for a strong Milton squad.
