Class AAA – All Sophomore First Team

[player_tooltip player_id="962233" first="Matthew" last="Bothun"] of St. Francis (6’8 PF). When it comes to guys that I think might be flying under the big prospect radar, [player_tooltip player_id="962233" first="Matthew" last="Bothun"] comes to mind. Skilled, agile, big, and very productive this year, Both averaged 19 points a game for the 12-7 Saints. A guy I think could blow up this summer.

[player_tooltip player_id="962198" first="Taison" last="Chatman"] of Totino-Grace (6’3 PG/SG). Chatman played both guard spots for the Eagles showcasing one of the most natural scoring abilities that you will see. Chatman started the year as the TG point, became one of the best 6th Men you will ever seen, and scored 12.6 points a game.

[player_tooltip player_id="962199" first="CJ" last="O’Hara"] of Totino-Grace (6’3 SG). One of the hardest working, steadier players in the state. CJ plays a Sacar Anim style of game only more so at the two spot as opposed to the forward spot. CJ was a top defender on his team AND he led his team in scoring both in points per game and total points.

[player_tooltip player_id="962216" first="Will" last="Underwood"] of Mahtomedi (6’2 PG). The Zephyrs were much better than expected this year going 13-5 and a huge reason for that was the monster season that [player_tooltip player_id="962216" first="Will" last="Underwood"] had. Will scored 24 a game and is following right in line with some big names coming out of the program as of late that includes [player_tooltip player_id="846110" first="J’Vonne" last="Hadley"] and Parker Fox.

[player_tooltip player_id="962218" first="Nasir" last="Whitlock"] of DeLaSalle (6’0 PG). Whitlock had a great season playing duel roles as the ball handler/scorer. Earlier in the year Whitlock was actually the DeLaSalle leading scorer and when [player_tooltip player_id="774736" first="Cade" last="Haskins"] got going at a higher rate, Whitlock scored his 14 a game while also creating for Cade and others. Nasir pushed the Islanders to the final four of Class AAA.

Class AAA – All Sophomore Second Team

Patrick Bath of Totino-Grace (6’9 PF). Bath came off the bench and gave the Eagles seven points and 5/6 boards a contest. Bath showcased strong agility at his size, has a nice touch facing at his size, and surely showed that he is going to be a highly recruited frontcourt 2023.

Owen Carlson of Mahtomedi (6’0 PG). Carlson was overshadowed a bit by the huge year from Underwood but Owen Carlson was very important to the Zephyrs as well with his 13 a game.

[player_tooltip player_id="962273" first="Cooper" last="Drews"] of Princeton (6’4 SG). Cooper is another player I am waiting to see start to get a bit more eyes his way. Drews is an excellent defender, a quality shooter, and one of the better all around players in his class overall. Averaged 16 points a game for an 18-2 team.

Jalen Hayes of Mankato East (6’1 PG). Hayes was the heady ball handler and playmaker for an East team that won 13 of 17 games but was hurt by Covid a few different times this year. Hayes scored nine a game and was a top creator.

[player_tooltip player_id="962203" first="Tommy" last="Humphries"] of Totino-Grace (6’3 SG). Humphries scored 10 plus points a game for one of the best teams in the state. Humphries is a long wing that scored both in transition and in the halfcourt set.

Class AAA – All Sophomore Third Team

[player_tooltip player_id="962258" first="Isaac" last="Dearborn"] of Byron (6’0 PG). Dearborn was a key player for a top ten, state tournament team that won 17 of 20 games. Dearborn scored six a game while handling in support.

Isaiah Hagen of Orono (6’2 PG). Hagen had some big games this year and at times was the go-to guy. Scored nine a game for the 9-9 Spartans.

Ty Miller of Wacona (6’4 SF). Miller stepped in and gave the Wildcats solid productivity on the wing adding depth and helping Waconia winning 12 of 19 games. Averaged 8.2 points a contest.

[player_tooltip player_id="962262" first="Brady" last="Paumen"] of Becker (6’5 PF). Becker was a bit better than expected this year and Brady was a big reason for that scoring 13 points a contest.

[player_tooltip player_id="962316" first="Blake" last="Schmitz"] of Hermantown (6’0 PG). Schmitz earned All Conference honors this season at Hermantown.

[player_tooltip player_id="962232" first="Isaac" last="Severts"] of Bemidji (6’4 Forward). Severts is a strong, physical player that averaged 12 points and seven boards a game.

Class AAA – All Sophomore Fourth Team

Donate Horshaw of St. Cloud Tech (6’0 PG). Horshaw scored a dozen a game for Tech this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="962306" first="Michael" last="Kirchner"] (6’0 PG). Michael scored 10 a game for STA.

Nolan Spencer of Zimmerman (6’2 SF). Spencer scored 11 a game for Zimmerman.

[player_tooltip player_id="962297" first="Pal" last="Wal"] of Albert Lea (6’2 SF). Wal scored 10 plus a game for Albert Lea this winter.

[player_tooltip player_id="1142943" first="Micah" last="Young"] of Minneapolis Edison (6’1 SF). Played seven a game for one of the best teams in the city.
