2021 Rankings Update: Explosive Athletes

<p>The class of 2021 had a ton of impressive prospects that we kept track of throughout their high school career. With that came many good athletes who were a joy to watch finish above the rim. Here are just a few great athletes from the class of 2021. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="916955" first="Donta" last="Dawson"]- Colorado Prep</strong></p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="916955" first="Donta" last="Dawson"] has been one of the most exciting players to keep up with throughout his triumphant high school career. He is a high IQ player who makes opposing teams play at his pace. Donta has stood out in both the roles as the main guy on his team and a role player on a bigger stage. Obviously he is a great athlete as one could tell by reading the article title but he has impressed with his intangibles. He has shown great leadership on the court and with this he can rally his teammates behind him. Donta is someone we are very excited to keep track of as he goes onto the next level!</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="916958" first="Wade" last="Jones"]- Cheyenne Mountain</strong></p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="916958" first="Wade" last="Jones"] is one of the most entertaining players in Colorado to watch. He is one of those guys who has a talent that cannot be easily taught, HUSTLE! Wade is someone who will put his body on the line to make the right play, he seems to be everywhere on the court when watching him play. Also Wade has great height for a wing standing at 6’5, and he uses that and his vertical to block shots and finish above the rim. Wade plays well in a half court setting using good off ball movement to slash to the rim, but looks best when running the fastbreak as he finishes great at the rim and has good instinct for finding open teammates. Wade is another guy who we are interested to see where he will end up next year!</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="965739" first="Eddie" last="Kurjak"]- Longmont</strong></p> <p>The Colorado Mesa commit, Eddie, is a player with huge upside at the next level. Standing at 6’8 Eddie can run the floor as fast as many guards. While running the floor this leads to many highlight dunks. He also uses his hops and great height to be a defensive presence inside. He also has high potential to be a guy who can switch onto any position on the court due to his good footwork. This year he lead his team to a final four appearance and had great numbers putting up 18.3 points and 8.6 rebounds a game. Eddie is a player who unselfish and does not mind playing a role in a system which could help out Mesa a lot next year. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1138298" first="Andres" last="Arellano"]- Gateway</strong></p> <p>The Ellsworth Community College commit ended on a high note with a great senior season! He put his name on the map this season with his first varsity season of basketball, he averaged 15.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks a game. Andres has great height for a wing standing at 6’5 and moves very well for his size. With a quick first step he is able to pass defenders and get to the basket where he sometimes finishes with some big dunks. Andres also shoots a decent clip from mid range and three point land. He will be an interesting prospect to keep track of as he grows in junior college.</p>
