<p>I make no secret about it, I love jitterbug PG’s. Something about little guys that manage to excel amongst giants is exciting to me. Mark Twain said, "It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog" Well these dogs have quite a bit of fight in them. In this article, we take a look at our top 10 players under 6 feet. </p> <ol> <li>[player_tooltip player_id="943444" first="Wayne" last="McKinney"] <em>5’10 PG Coronado 2021 (#22PHSC 2021)</em> - McKinney is an explosive pg that can play above the rim. When he’s playing downhill it’s difficult for opponents to stop him. He has broad shoulders and a mature frame, which allows him to deliver blows to defenders. The San Diego commit is easily one of the top under 6 feet in the entire country. </li> <li><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="611407" first="Simon" last="Wheeler"]</strong> <em>5’10 PG Bella Vista Prep 2021 (#32PHA 2021)</em> - First off never, tell Wheeler that he’s under 5’10 secondly never try to pressure him. Wheeler is an elite blow by specialist who is impossible to stay in front off. The IUPUI signee plays with elite speed and is a threat to break the ankles of anyone attempting to crowd him. Once in the paint, he has excellent vision and the ability to deliver on time and on target passes to teammates. </li> <li><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="827006" first="Lareon" last="Ginnis"]</strong> 5’9 PG South Mountain 2022 (#26PHA 2022) - Ginnis may have the most powerful frame of anyone on this list. He is a muscularly built guard that can give contact on his way to the rim. He also has an explosive first step allowing him to beat defenders off the bounce from a triple threat position. </li> <li><strong>Elijah Knudsen</strong> <em>5’9 PG Mead (CO) (#13PHCO 2022)</em> - Knudsen is one of the smoothest players on the list. The PG has a slick handle and an absolute strap, complete with a full clip. The 5’9 dynamo is a dangerous shooter that is a threat from anywhere on the court. </li> <li><strong>Julian Augusto</strong> <em>5’10 PG Nathan Hale 2021 (#8PHW 2021)</em> - Augusto may be the best conditioned out of everyone on this list. He is a relentless competitor who seems to never get tired. Augusto has a nice handle and can finish at the rim under and around bigs. </li> <li><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="959021" first="Elijah" last="Johnson"]</strong> <em>5’9 PG Durango 2022 (#15PHN 2022)</em> - Johnson possesses elite speed, and uses it to change ends faster than perhaps any player on this list. He also possesses terrific lateral quickness allowing him to harass ballhandlers. He won’t overwhelm you with his physical traits, however, his IQ and ability to knock down open shots make him a threat when he’s on the floor. </li> <li><strong>Ahmaree McCollough</strong> <em>5’7 PG St Joes (#36PHNC 2023)</em> - McCollough may be the top on-ball defender on the West Coast. He has the lateral quickness and instincts to dominate a game on the defensive side of the ball. He’s also an above-average R&amp;J athlete with the ability to finish amongst the trees. </li> <li>[player_tooltip player_id="755621" first="Phil" last="Harris"] <em>5’8 PG Corner Canyon 2021 (#78PHU 2021)</em> - Harris is a tough as nails PG. You often won’t notice him on the floor for a talented Corner Canyon team, but that’s mostly because he’s doing his job. He handles against pressure and does a terrific job of defending opposing PGs. </li> <li><strong>Lewis Singleterry</strong> <em>5’7 PG Murrieta Mesa 2022 (#40PHSC 2022)</em> - Singleterry is a tough as nails competitor that battles on the defensive end.
