Out of State Transfer Season Updates

<p>There have been a ton of highly ranked prospects from Illinois which left the state to play high school ball this season.  We haven’t forgotten about them though.  In this feature we will be checking up on out of state prospects to see how they are doing.  Check out how the former Illinois prep stars are playing across the country in <strong>Out of State Transfer Season Updates</strong>!</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="920948" first="Isaiah" last="Stafford"] (Crispus Attucks, IN – 2021)</strong></p> <p>This Bolingbrook combo guard was a top 30 in-state player with his silky smooth scoring game.  He is off to a hot start at his new school going for 20 points against Poly Tech, 19 points and 8 dimes versus Yorkville, along with 22 points in a match up with Warren Central.  Stafford also scored another D2 offer from Southern Indiana as well.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="920995" first="Sean" last="Burress"] (Hammond, IN – 2021)</strong></p> <p>Burress is a scoring combo that has a sweet looking perimeter shot.  Opened up strong against Lawrence North going for 20 points, 6 assists, and 3 steals.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Jaylin Gibson (Legacy School of Sports &amp; Science – 2021)</strong></p> <p>The former top 10 senior in the state of Illinois is performing at a high level and stuffing the stat sheet as always in Texas.  Against Wagner he had 12 points, 11 assists, 5 boards, and 2 steals.  Then going against nationally ranked Duncanville he had 18 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals.  Continued his strong passing against OSL where he dropped 10 assists.  Mid-major programs need to seriously take a look here!</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Ismail Habib (Bishop Walsh, MD – 2021)</strong></p> <p>The Austin Peay signee hasn’t played his first game yet as they kick off January 8 against Montverde.  In their team scrimmage he recently went for 23 points, 6 dimes, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="920967" first="Donald" last="Coats"] (Warren Central, IN – 2021)</strong></p> <p>Coats has reopened his recruitment.  The long and lanky power forward went for 12 points and 12 boards along with 4 blocks against Crispus Attucks.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="771530" first="Trey" last="Pettigrew"] (Eduprize, AZ – 2022)</strong></p> <p>Pettigrew is a nationally ranked point guard that has an array of high-major offers.  With his new team in Arizona they are racking up wins against nationally competition and he is showing out.  Against Bella Vista Prep he had 19 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds.  In a win over Prolific Prep he dropped 16 points, 4 dimes, 5 rebounds, and 5 steals.  Another big W was against West Oaks where he went for 16 points, 5 assists, and 5 rebounds.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="939058" first="Jeremy" last="Fears"] (La Lumiere, IN – 2023)</strong></p> <p>Fears was the #2 overall sophomore in the state before his transfer across state lines to the prep power La Lumiere.  In his opening performance he went for 11 points, 10 dimes, and 5 boards.</p>
