The Holiday season is known for many things. For many lucky kids, making a gift ’wish list’ was a big part of this special time of year. What if college coaches used the Holidays to write their wish list for the type of player or prospect that they wanted to receive for their program? Let’s look at what they might ask for and a player from the class of 2022 that would make their wishes come true.

SHOT BLOCKER

College coaches definitely want a rim protector on defense. [player_tooltip player_id="985662" first="Tim" last="Jordan"] (PF, Saginaw Arthur Hill) could be just that. He’s a bouncy 4 that has the potential to be a big time asset on the defensive end.

DOMINANT POST PLAYER

Watch out for [player_tooltip player_id="985665" first="Xavier" last="Thomas"] (PF, Brother Rice)! This young man has a ton of talent and upside. He’s a prototypical tough guy with athleticism and skill to go with it. By the time it’s all said and done, this young man will be wearing a college basketball jersey.

POST THAT CAN STRETCH THE FLOOR

This is new age basketball, and next level coaches want 4’s that can pull defenders from the rim. There probably isn’t a better 4 in the class at doing this than [player_tooltip player_id="985668" first="Luke" last="Hazelton"] (PF, Glen Lake). He’s versatile 3 level scorer that takes advantage of mismatches.

SHOOTER

[player_tooltip player_id="987290" first="Jack" last="Yanachik"] (SF, Warren De La Salle) is a hot shot wing with a high ceiling. He’s underrated as an athlete and can often times manufacture his own looks at the bucket.

DYNAMIC GUARD

[player_tooltip player_id="987274" first="Jordan" last="Briggs"] (PG, Muskegon) is a must see perimeter player for college coaches seeking a true playmaker. He breaks the defense down off the dribble and wiggles his way to the lane. Once he’s there, that’s when the excitement starts.

TRADITIONAL POINT

[player_tooltip player_id="985658" first="RJ" last="Taylor"] (PG, Grand Blanc) makes college coaches drool. He’s a selfless floor general that makes his teammates better. His passes are high percentage and almost always on point. If you pair Taylor with dynamic wing (like [player_tooltip player_id="787618" first="Ty" last="Rodgers"])......sit back and enjoy the show.

TRANSITION FINISHER

[player_tooltip player_id="985659" first="Malik" last="Olafioye"] (PG, Ecorse) is a high major target for a reason. If he’s in the the open floor, it’s most likely a lights out scenario for the defense. He has such nasty handles and body control that it’s nearly impossible to contain him in the open floor.
