New Names Playing Great Games

With all the terrific talent in the state of Michigan, it's impossible to cover or scout all the deserving athletes. So every now and again, we need to devote an article entirely to players who's names are new to my pages. Well, I found 5 new names that had excellent games recently and deserve to have their names highlighted.    West Catholic earned a win against Wyoming by a final score of 76-67. [player_tooltip player_id='2851818' first='Jael' last='Djouguem'] was very solid on both ends of the floor. The rising junior shooting guard helped pace his team with 15 points. On the other end of the floor, Djouguem picked up 4 steals.     Dorian Wright had himself a game in a big 41-34 Milford win against Walled Lake Northern. He was a huge influence on the offensive end and on the glass. Wright finished the game with 14 points and 7 rebounds. He's a valuable influence off the wing.       Byron Center fought hard, but ultimately fell to an elite Muskegon team by the score of 59-54. Piering played an outstanding game. He finished the contest with 27 points. That's even more impressive considering the competition as well. Piering will be a player to keep an eye on late this season.     Thurston came out to play and picked up a statement making win against Melvindale. Pitts led the way with 16 points in the fast paced offensive attack. Pitts can score with speed and athleticism.     Brown II is a player to keep an eye on. In defeat, he still put up some really strong numbers. Brown finished the recent loss with 14 points, 2 rebounds and an assist. The Groves guard played very efficient offense, shooting 50% from the field over the course of the game.
