<p>[player_tooltip player_id="957196" first="Henry" last="Shannon III"] of Eastview is one of several talented Lightning players that will get their first extended opportunity this winter, and we expect big things from Henry and his teammates. </p>
<p>"The Eastview basketball program has pushed me to become a better player every day wether that be on the court or in the weight room," Shannon said. "And my teammates always raise the bar for me during practice."</p>
<p>Those teammates are in the same spot as Henry, ready for their chance. Guys like [player_tooltip player_id="774806" first="Zach" last="Spann"] who will move into being a core option, [player_tooltip player_id="774901" first="Jackson" last="Purcell"] - the team’s top returning scorer - who will get a chance to score inside and out, [player_tooltip player_id="958669" first="Kenji" last="Scales"] who will have his chance to be a main playmaker, and Jamal Ambrose coming up from the JV. </p>
<p>Henry has put a lot of time into getting ready for his senior season. </p>
<p>"Some things I’ve done is going to Eastview and getting shots up with my teammates or I use the shooting machine," Henry said. "I also lift multiple times a week at Eastview with our trainer Rainey from Training Haus."</p>
<p>Eastview is replacing five starters but the talent is still there to win games. </p>
<p>"My goal and expectations for this season is to win state,: Shannon said. "I expect the best from all of us and I know we can achieve our goals this year. My goal and expectations for this season is to win state. I expect the best from all of us and I know we can achieve our goals this year."</p>
<p>College programs have taken an interest in Shannon’s game and the interest should take a big spike this winter. </p>
<p>"The schools I’ve heard from the most are St. John’s , St. Olaf, Bethany Lutheran, River Falls, Augsburg, and NDSCS."</p>
