2022 6-1 PG Kyle Keener Kyle Keener 6'0" | PG Lassiter | 2022 State GA – Sequoyah
The dynamic tandem of Kyle Keener Kyle Keener 6'0" | PG Lassiter | 2022 State GA and Dylan Wolle Dylan Wolle 6'3" | SG Sequoyah | 2022 State GA shredded another victim, combining for 11 threes and 45 of their team’s 63 points in a 63-44 win over Walker. Keener drilled 7 threes and finished with 25 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists. Keener opened the game facilitating but as the game evolved, so did his mindset. He buried open look after open look, a good chunk of Sequoyah’s clean looks coming off offensive rebounds. Keener is a savvy guard. He is comfortable playing in a system and is a good option for schools looking for a reliable leader.
2022 6-3 SG Dylan Wolle Dylan Wolle 6'3" | SG Sequoyah | 2022 State GA – Sequoyah
It was a modest day for Dylan Wolle Dylan Wolle 6'3" | SG Sequoyah | 2022 State GA , meaning it would be a career effort for most. The sharpshooter sank 4 threes and finished with 20 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists. The defense had no chance of slowing down Sequoyah as both Wolle and Keener were red-hot. The two took turns distributing and scoring. The duo very well may be the best shooting backcourt in the state.
2024 5-11 PG CJ Brown – Walker
CJ Brown showed promise in a loss to Sequoyah. At 5-foot-11, Brown has some length and looks like he could stretch out a few more inches. Brown has a good presence on the floor and handles a majority of the ballhandling duties. He was at his best when he attacked the basket. Brown does a nice job of getting to the lane and finishing in traffic, able to go left and right. He collected 9 points and 5 rebounds.
2024 6-2 W Ricky McKenzie – Walker
Another young Wolverine that could grow a few more inches, Ricky McKenzie provided a spark in the second quarter with his outside shooting. The freshman hit a pair of threes and posted 8 points in total. McKenzie has a soft touch from deep. His release is a little slow, but once he lines it up there’s a good chance he’ll net it. As he improves his game off the bounce, McKenzie should become a really good player.
2024 5-8 PG Zundra Jackson – Christian Heritage
Zundra Jackson may have been the most impressive youngster I saw last night. He is quick with the ball and is capable of pushing the tempo and setting the tone. Jackson has some shiftiness to his game and is able to slither his way through the defense and finish at the rim. Zundra’s court vision and passing sliced up the Gilmer defense. His natural playmaking abilities led to 11 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals.
2023 6-3 W Braden Koneman Braden Koneman 6'4" | SF Christian Heritage | 2023 State GA – Christian Heritage
Coming off the bench, Braden Koneman Braden Koneman 6'4" | SF Christian Heritage | 2023 State GA ’s steady play was the jolt the Lions needed to bury the Bobcats. Koneman stuck corner three after corner three as he helped space the floor. He provided toughness on both ends of the floor as a physical 3&D guy. Koneman ended with 17 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal.
