Wednesday prospects from across the state could sign their National Letters of Intent with colleges for one week which is the “early signing period.” Who are the best unsigned players left heading into the winter? We dive into that here in Top Unsigned 2021 Point Guards!

[player_tooltip player_id="920940" first="Anthony" last="Sayles"] (Niles Notre Dame)

Sayles remains at the top of this board heading into the winter. He is the #1 unsigned prospect regardless of position in Illinois. Athletic point guard that brings speed, strength, and tenacity to the lead guard spot. Gets to the rim with a burst. Much better shooter than given credit. Sound distributor. Mid-major and low-major schools are missing out here!

[player_tooltip player_id="920945" first="Jaehshon" last="Thomas"] (Whitney Young)

Thomas was behind stars [player_tooltip player_id="528833" first="DJ" last="Steward"] and [player_tooltip player_id="761145" first="Tyler" last="Beard"] last year after he transferred over. We have been very impressed in each setting we have seen him over the last six months. Jumper is much more consistent especially from mid-range. Power frame with the ability to win off the bounce. Rebounds well for a guard.

[player_tooltip player_id="920947" first="Kimahri" last="Wilson"] (Carmel)

Wilson is a quick and shifty lead guard that wins off the bounce and is dynamic in transition with his speed. Love floaters in the lane and has a knack for finishing around defenders. Jumper is a work in progress. Solid passer.

[player_tooltip player_id="920957" first="Brandon" last="Hall"] (Thornton)

Hall is a jumbo combo guard with his size and strength. The big bodied guard is adept at getting downhill and finishing through contact with ease. When he gets his shoulders turned he is a really tough cover. High level rebounder from his guard spot. Tough defender.

[player_tooltip player_id="652762" first="Darrion" last="Jones"] (Bogan)

Jones is another big and strong combo guard in this class. We love the tenacity that he brings to the table at the position. Brings versatility being able to play both on and off the ball and is a plus defender.

[player_tooltip player_id="920953" first="Jalen" last="Houston"] (Bogan)

Houston is an athletic point guard that transferred to Bogan from Hyde Park for his senior season. He is a great ball handler that makes plays off the bounce getting to the rim and creating for others.

[player_tooltip player_id="920959" first="Nathanael" last="Hoskins"] (Danville)

Hoskins is a crafty point guard that has a good feel for the game. A bit of a slo-mo type guard that always seems to make plays and is a quality finisher in the paint.

[player_tooltip player_id="821777" first="Isaiah" last="Holden"] (Evanston)

Holden is a shot making point guard that works well around ball screens. He can get hot for stretches and carry teams to wins. Also a good passer that has a solid understanding of the game.

[player_tooltip player_id="821772" first="Christian" last="Henry"] (St. Rita)

Explosive point guard that is more of a scorer at this stage. Crisp ball handler that uses speed in the open floor. Range on three point shot.
