Intro: Isaac Smith Has Among Highest Ceilings in 2029 Class

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Chi-Prep 2029 wing <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2767753' first='Isaac' last='Smith']</strong> looks like one of the premier prospects in his class from the state of Illinois early in the process.&nbsp; He has plus positional size at 6'5” with super long arms and well above average athleticism.&nbsp; What shines the most with him is his advanced scoring game at a young age.&nbsp; When we saw him during the regular season playing on the Grind Session he performed at a high level.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>Against players sometimes four years older than him he was the best player on the floor as he scored 28 points and probably had close to double digit rebounds.&nbsp; Explosive athlete that excels in transition with his quickness and body control at the cup.&nbsp; Quick to the glass.&nbsp; Also has a clean three point stroke that he poured in four of along with a tough fadeaway out of the mid-post.&nbsp; Defensively he competed and blocked multiple shots inside and on the perimeter.&nbsp; The wing has high-major potential without a doubt!</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We caught up with him recently to see how his first year of high school ball went.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>“It went good.&nbsp; I was playing against some good competition on the Grind Session. &nbsp;It was hard having to defend the big men on defense and then playing guard on offense.&nbsp; On defense it was harder to guard the taller and stronger players.&nbsp; On offense it came easier to me because they were a little slower.”</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>How would he break down his game for people who haven't seen him play yet?</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>“I am athletic.&nbsp; I can put the ball on the floor.&nbsp; I can shoot mid-range shots and threes.&nbsp; I am a three level scorer.”</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Smith is running with Brad Beal Elite 15U in the EYBL.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
