<p>Class 3A - Region 7 really could be a wide open region this coming season. Several players left the region this off season. Read more about it right here on your source for basketball coverage in the Palmetto State. </p>
<p><em><strong>Predictions: </strong></em></p>
<p><strong>Georgetown HS</strong> - The Bulldogs have a new coach in Eric Sparkman. How will they fill the role by <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="534887" first="Isaiah" last="Howell"]</strong> who moved on. The Bulldogs lost to Cheraw HS in the opening round of the playoffs last season.</p>
<p><strong>Loris HS - </strong>The Lions will battle for the top spot this season after finishing (9-11) last year. </p>
<p><strong>Waccamaw HS</strong> - Head Coach Mike Quinn and the Warriors could surprise some teams here in region play. </p>
<p><strong>Dillon HS -</strong> The Wildcats always get a late start since football plays so late into the season. The Wildcats finished (6-10) last year. </p>
<p><strong>Aynor HS -</strong> The Blue Jackets could steal a win in region play on a given night. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="927536" first="Victor" last="Otubu"] (2021) - Waccamaw HS (Pawleys Island)</strong></p>
<p>Otubu is a load in the paint at times with his ability to play on contact. Otubu just finished his football season for the Warriors. Otubu played this summer on the Grassroots Circuit with Manzer late in the summer. Otubu has a blue collar mindset and toughness on the hardwood. Otubu averaged 11.4 ppg and 7.6 rebounds last season for the Warriors (14-10). </p>
<p><strong>Jacarry Cabbagestalk (2021) - Dillon HS </strong></p>
<p>Cabbagestalk 6’1 wide receiver on the football field will be the go to guy for the Wildcats this season. </p>

<p>Dewitt a left-handed guard stands just 5’8. Dewitt will be the leader for Lions Head Coach Adrain Grady on the hardwood this season. Dewitt averaged 11 ppg last season for Lions (11-9). </p>

<p>Richardson will have to step up his game even more this season for the Bulldogs. Richardson a left-handed wing player can explode to the basket and stalk the baseline. Richardson averaged 7.3 ppg and 4.2 rebounds last season. </p>
<p><strong>Kameron Green (2022) - Waccamaw HS </strong></p>
<p>Green could be a sleeper in the region this season. Green a multiple sport athlete averaged 3.1 ppg in 15 games last season. </p>

<p>Howell has surfaced in the Sunshine State with Head Coach Jordan Fair at Oldsmar Christian. Howell a small forward can handle the rock in transition, shoot the perimeter jumper and defend multiple positions on the floor. Howell recently scored 19 points in a win for the Eagles. </p>

<p>Herring reclassified into the 2022 after leaving Loris HS. Herring just like Howell is now down in Florida at American Collegiate Academy. Herring a left-handed bouncy forward averaged 11.4 ppg, 8.7 rebounds and 3.5 blocks last season for the Lions. </p>
