<p>Class 2A -Region 2 is located in the Upstate. This region has its share of teams with really good player duos. Take a closer look at region right here on your source for basketball coverage in the Palmetto State. </p>
<p><em><strong>Predictions:</strong></em></p>
<p><strong>Greer Middle College - </strong>Head Coach Jamar Armstrong has some good pieces back in his backcourt this season for the Blazers. The Blazers finished last year at (22-7). The Blazers lost to Abbeville HS 73-66 in the 2nd Round of the Class 2A Playoffs last season. </p>
<p><strong>Landrum HS - </strong>The Cardinals will be led by fellow juniors <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="976895" first="Isaiah" last="Washington"]</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="650210" first="Ethan" last="Dugat"]</strong>. </p>
<p><strong>Chesnee HS - </strong>The Eagles will be in the middle of the pack here in after moving down from Class 3A.</p>
<p><strong>St Joseph’s - </strong>The Knights will look to improve on its (8-17) record this season. </p>
<p><strong>Blacksburg HS - </strong>The Wildcats will look to play spoiler in the region this coming season.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="840278" first="Allen" last="Kuria"] (2021) - Greer Middle College (Prep Hoops CO-Region Player of the Year)</strong></p>
<p>Kuria had a big season last year for the Blazers. Kuria a sharp shooting guard averaged 16.6 ppg and 4.7 rebounds last season. Kuria recently played in the Prep Hoops Top 250 Expo and had a strong showing. </p>

<p>Donald is back to guide the Blazers team from the backcourt. Donald really sees the floor well and has good court awareness. Donald averaged 10.1 ppg and 5.2 assists last season. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="977001" first="Ben" last="Saunders"] (2021) - St Joseph’s (Greenville)</strong></p>
<p>Saunders plays the combo forward position for the Knights. Saunders has really strong academics in the classroom. Saunders can post up or play face-up to the basket. Saunders is a good athlete and brings a great effort to the floor night in and night out. </p>

<p>Stockton averaged 9 ppg and 5 assists last season for the Knights (8-17). Stockton started off his career at Greenville Tech before coming over to St Joseph’s last season. </p>

<p>Valentine a small forward has great bounce and length. Valentine fills the lane well in transition and needs to be more of a rim-runner on the floor. Valentine is most effective playing around the paint and manufacturing points on put-backs and effort. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="927560" first="Nyquille" last="O’Fair"] (2021) - Chensee HS </strong></p>
<p>O’Fair is currently playing Quarterback this season after playing Wide Receiver in the past for the Eagles. O’Fair averaged 11.8 ppg last season for the Eagles. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="976895" first="Isaiah" last="Washington"] (2022) - Landrum HS (Prep Hoops CO-Region Player of the Year) </strong></p>
<p>Washington is a player we need to see more of hopefully this season. Washington played off the grid with Overtime Grind on the Grassroots Circuit. Washington averaged 16.6 ppg, 4.7 assists and 4.7 rebounds last season for the Cardinals. </p>

<p>Dugat excels on the football field for the Cardinals after receiving interest from East Carolina University recently. Dugat looks to be headed to play football at the next level. Dugat has a soft touch around the cup and can extend the defense out to the perimeter with his ability to shoot the ball. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1078922" first="Andrew" last="Gregory"]</strong> (2023) and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="986185" first="Brady" last="Poole"]</strong> (2024) both attend Chesnee HS. Watch out for these 2 players in the years to come for Head Coach Andy Pitt. </p>
