Many of the teams I watched were 1 hour plus away from me to maximize my time.
Here were some of the non-seniors that shined when I viewed their teams:
2022
Jorge Ochoa Eduprize (Pictured)
-One of the top players viewed on Halloween was Ochoa. He transferred over from California and he made his impact felt immediately. He grabbed every rebound in traffic and uses his girth and strength to put himself in position to achieve it. He can face-up from the 3pt line and in plus he can create his own offense with a nice handle. He is a very smart player and just plays winning basketball.
Devontes Cobbs Devontes Cobbs 6'3" | CG Overtime Elite | 2022 GA Eduprize
-An uber athletic combo guard is a highlight reel on the break. He is improving his shooting from deep and his creativity in the air is one of the best in the state. His passing really gets undervalued since most focus on his dunking, but he makes many unselfish plays and has a good feel to set his team up.
Jason Parent Jason Parent 6'4" | SF Prescott | 2022 State AZ Prescott
-An all-around wing who is a good passer and plays a little PG for his HS team. He is a catch shooter plus he can rise up and fire from mid-range. He crashes the glass for offensive rebounds and has great activity on both ends of the court.
2023
Chuck Bailey Chuck Bailey 6'4" | CG Donda Academy | 2023 CA-S Higley
-A transfer by way of Michigan is a thicker guard who works well off the pick and roll. He is a good defender inside the paint using his length and girth. He likes shooting on the move from the perimeter, but he can make a catch-3.
Ben Wilder Ben Wilder 6'5" | SF Bradshaw Mountain | 2023 State AZ Bradshaw Mountain
-A versatile forward who plays the 2-4 for them. He can drive the lane with his strength and decent handle and he can hit from the perimeter. He is a good rebounder with a motor and can score it from inside and out.
2024
Isaiah Bronson Isaiah Bronson 6'2" | PG Phhoenix Prep | 2024 State AZ Williams Field
-A quick lefty can score it and has a super tight handle. He is smart off the pick and roll game and he can drive and kick it to a shooter. He also can pull-up off the dribble from mid to the 3. He may end up being a rare freshman starter and will be one to watch for the Black Hawks.
