Jordan Warrior | 2024 Putnam City West PG |
→ Warrior, the younger brother of MJ Warrior MJ Warrior 6'1" | PG Putnam City West | 2020 State OK , is only a freshman but plays with the confidence of a senior. Coach Lenny Bert had high praise for the true point guard, who will play a major role in the Patriots’ rotation in his debut season. Warrior takes care of the ball, creates separation with his smooth handle and can split tight gaps in defenses to take the ball to the rack. Finishing with either hand, shooting at tough angles, and playing at a comfortable pace with a head for the game, Warrior promises to be a great player.
Justin Wormell | 2022 Bishop Kelley SG |
→ Wormell was heralded by coach Jordan Nagel as the hardest-working player on the stacked Bishop Kelley team, and he is one of the few non-seniors who will play for the Comets. Wormell showcased some of his exceptional shooting talents at the showcase, while playing with unmatched energy on the defensive side of the court. A classic, hard-nosed defensive guard, if Wormell is as adherent to ball-handlers as he was Saturday, Wormell could be a difference-maker for the Comets this season.
Keilan Howard Keilan Howard 5'10" | PG Southmoore | 2022 State OK | 2022 Southmoore SG |
→ Howard has further developed his smooth offensive arsenal during the offseason. His game is crafty, though more conservative than it was during the summer, as he wants few dribbles to create scoring. He was effective Saturday in taking advantage of screens, staying skinny through driving lanes and finishing at tough angles. Howard can also shoot the ball well, taking advantage of spacing with his rapid-fire release at the showcase.
Cedric Hardridge | 2024 Victory Christian SG |
→ Hardridge has entered his high school career already the subject of chatter. One of the most anticipated prospects in the freshman class, Prep Hoops got to see Hardridge for the second time in his young career Saturday, and he did not disappoint. The freshman has silky transition and play, and he can shoot bombs-away from deep out of the handle. He has a swift crossover with a catalog of separation moves with few wasted dribbles. Defensively, he can create turnovers with his quick hands, and as is the case offensively, it’s his mind — often uncharacteristic of young players — that drives his play.
Aaron Johnson Aaron Johnson 6'3" | CG Broken Arrow | 2022 State OK | 2022 Broken Arrow CG |
→ Johnson is an exceptionally versatile athlete looking to step into an expansive role for Broken Arrow. Coach Beau Wallace even went as far as to say Johnson can play and defend positions one-through four. He stands about 6-foot-2-inches with the abilities to bring the ball up the floor, facilitate from the drive, shoot on the perimeter and even score in the high post when the situation arrises.
