After going 25-4 this past season, don’t expect too much fall off from Coach Muse’ squad with an anchor in Daniel Fulp Daniel Fulp 6'5" | PF Mount Tabor | 2021 State NC . While it’s still early, here’s a look at some names to know in the Mount Tabor rotation for the upcoming season.
Daniel Fulp Daniel Fulp 6'5" | PF Mount Tabor | 2021 State NC | 6’5 Forward | 2021
Fulp is due to play a big role in the rotation given the departures of frontcourt duo Jakob Moore Jakob Moore 6'6" | PF Mount Tabor | 2020 State NC & Davis Blackwell. He’s a big bodied forward that battles on both ends using his length and strength. He played as their anchor on defense in the Triad Blue Chip Basketball Academy and they went 9-0 as a result. He holds offers from NC Wesleyan and Ferrum.
Jay Torrence | 5’10 Guard | 2022
Torrence is an explosive combo guard that makes play for himself and others using his athleticism and shooting prowess on the perimeter. He’s a new face (at least to me) that’s impressive as an athlete that can get to the rim and bring down the house but he doesn’t try to overdo it. He stays within himself to create off the bounce and keeps the defense guessing off the bounce. He’ll be a breakout for this team.
Finley Simmons | 6’3 Guard | 2022
Simmons is another breakout candidate in the Mount Tabor rotation. He’s not the quickest off the bounce but he’s still a crafty guard that finds ways to get others in position to score and when the defense is focused in on that, he’s getting to the paint and finishing. He’s due to play at the point guard in 2020-21, where he should excel.
James Viola | 6’0 Shooting Guard | 2021
Viola is a knockdown shooter on the perimeter that can get hot in a hurry. He knocked down some key 3-pointers in their title game victory and before that, knocked down four 3-pointers in the first half to pace the offense. He’ll be a spark for them off the bench when they need shooting.
O’shae Fernanders | 6’2 Guard | 2023
Fernanders is a versatile guard that can create off the bounce and defend the basketball. He’s a young prospect in their rotation, but it shouldn’t slow him down given his ability to defend on the perimeter and rebound the ball. He’ll be a solid reserve for them in 2020-21.
Ehime Abhulimen | 6’1 Guard | 2021
Abhulimen is a veteran in the rotation that can answer the call whenever they need anything, whether it be a stop on defense or a shot on the perimeter. He’ll be a solid glue guy in their rotation as a senior in 2020-21.
