As we prepare for the new 2021 prospect rankings following the 17u season, we start by looking at each position rankings wise.

***There are some players I had listed at PG last spring that are SGs so I will have them as SGs tomorrow.

One. [player_tooltip player_id="680229" first="Hercy" last="Miller"] of Minnehaha Academy/Grassroots Sizzle. Miller only played in one event this summer so he didn’t get the chance to expand on his high major offer list that includes USC, Missouri, and LSU, but he’s still the lone point guard in Minnesota with a D1 offer.

Two. [player_tooltip player_id="774746" first="Joshua" last="Strong"] of Champlin Park/Minnesota Heat. Strong had an excellent summer running the Heat offense and building his D2 offer list up. We expect Strong to have a massive senior season.

Three. [player_tooltip player_id="532560" first="Ryan" last="Dufault"] of Waseca/Minnesota Heat. The most productive prospect on this list this summer? [player_tooltip player_id="532560" first="Ryan" last="Dufault"]. He played both guard spots for the Heat and earned his first D2 offer from Minot State recently.

Four. [player_tooltip player_id="532609" first="Kody" last="Williams"] of Wayzata/Grassroots Sizzle. Just when the Trojans guard was starting to emerge this summer he suffered a tough injury. An explosive number one that can get pressure the opposition.

Five. [player_tooltip player_id="774733" first="Bryce" last="Lance"] of Marshall/Southwest MN Stars. Lance has one of the smoothest games on the list. Didn’t play much this summer and his football offer list is exploding, but he’s still a strong basketball prospect too.

Six. [player_tooltip player_id="774744" first="Eddie" last="Beeninga"] of Wayzata/Minnesota Fury. Eddie has a tremendous impact on both ends for the Heat, earned a D2 offer from Minnesota State-Moorhead this summer. An all state 17u player this year.

Seven. [player_tooltip player_id="774747" first="Reagan" last="Koch"] of Jordan/Minnesota Crossfire. [player_tooltip player_id="774747" first="Reagan" last="Koch"] is simply one of the best all around players in this state. He can guard a few spots, play both backcourt positions, tremendous feel.

Eight. [player_tooltip player_id="532550" first="DJ" last="Akpati"] of Totino-Grace/Minnesota Select. Akpati ranks with some of the better on-ball defenders in the state as well one of the smarter players reading the pick and roll.

Nine. Jake Braaten of Byron/MN Rise. A 17U All State talent player that showed his toughness on both ends of the court for the Rise. He led as the team’s best scorer, defender, and playmaker.

Ten. [player_tooltip player_id="567071" first="Sam" last="Votava"] of East Grand Forks/Minnesota Comets. One of the more controlled, steady decision makers in the state. A triple double candidate each night.

11. [player_tooltip player_id="774756" first="Robert" last="Grace IV"] of Blake/Gain Elite.

12. [player_tooltip player_id="567055" first="Brady" last="Walthall"] of Moorhead/ECI Prospects.

13. [player_tooltip player_id="567103" first="Kooper" last="Vaughn"] of St. Charles/Playmakers North.

14. [player_tooltip player_id="774836" first="Lamar" last="Grayson"] of Richfield.

15. [player_tooltip player_id="957152" first="D’Sean" last="Larkins"] of Robbinsdale Armstrong/MN Phenom-Gilleylen Elite.

16. [player_tooltip player_id="774760" first="Zach" last="Longueville"] of St. Croix Lutheran/Minnesota Crossfire.

17. [player_tooltip player_id="774837" first="Grant" last="Moscho"] of Melrose/West Central United.

18. [player_tooltip player_id="774873" first="Cole" last="Tiran"] of Eden Prairie/D1 Minnesota Prospects.

19. [player_tooltip player_id="774778" first="Tristan" last="Lee"] of Hopkins/D1 Minnesota Prospects.

20. [player_tooltip player_id="774770" first="Owen" last="Bushaw"] of St. Croix Lutheran/Mn Heat PB&J.

21. [player_tooltip player_id="567080" first="Broderick" last="Powell Jr"] of Robbinsdale Cooper.

22. [player_tooltip player_id="957203" first="Dewayne" last="Thompson"] of Henry Sibley/MN Phenom.

23. [player_tooltip player_id="957205" first="Ryan" last="Boysen"] of Rockford/Mn Heat PB&J.

24. [player_tooltip player_id="774772" first="Jake" last="Wald"] of Legacy Christian.

25. [player_tooltip player_id="956160" first="Blake" last="Herbe"]r of PEM/MN Lightning.
