2021 6’6 Thomas Whitley Thomas Whitley 6'6" | PF Eleanor Roosevelt | 2021 State MD | District Ball Club 17U
Whitley continues to be one of the more underrated prospects in the area and continues to show why he is worthy to play at the scholarship level. He was absolutely perfect Saturday night finishing with 14 points, while going 5/5 from the field that included going 3/3 from the three point line. He also tallied 4 rebounds while chipping in 3 assists. There is not so much more his District Ball Club team could have asked for as they got a 7 point win against Prospect U.
2024 Ryan Sabol | Prospect U 17U
A new name I came across this past weekend was 2024 Ryan Sabol. Sabol goes to Gonzaga and plays his AAU ball with Prospect U at the 17U level. In two games this weekend against New World and District Ball Club, he had 23 and 24 points respectively. Sabol is a threat to score the ball in bunches in a variety of ways and is certainly a name to keep an eye on in the 2024 class.
2021 6’0 Kino Lilly | DC Premier 17U
The Brown commit did everything he could to try and keep DC Premier in the game against New World. He did not particularly shoot the ball well but late in the second half he got a couple of buckets. Even though it was not his best shooting night, the 6’0 guard showed his ability to pass the ball finishing with 5 assists.
2021 5’9 Elijah Hawkins Elijah Hawkins 5'9" | PG DeMatha | 2021 State MD | New World 17U
There has been a lot of talk surrounding Hawkins recently and for good reasoning. Hawkins has taken his game to another level and is poised for a breakout fall and winter. Always known as a top notch on-ball defender, Hawkins has improved his scoring arsenal and overall impact on offense. In a win against DC Premier on Saturday, Hawkins finished with 15 points, going 5/10 from the field including 3-5 from deep.
2021 6’0 Saveon Jackson Saveon Jackson 6'0" | CG KIPP | 2021 State MD | New World 17U
Jackson is another underrated prospect that stood out on Saturday for an extremely talented New World team. He fits in perfectly as he is a good glue guy and can get about anything done. He finished with 10 points while grabbing 6 rebounds in a win against DC Premier .
