Jonas Aidoo Jonas Aidoo 7'0" | C Liberty Heights | 2021 State #89 Nation NC 7’0″ | Liberty Heights
Aidoo has seen his stock grow a ton over the summer with his addition to Team Curry on the grassroots scene. Since then, he’s emerged as a top name in the 2021 ranks given his ability to play on all three levels as a 7-footer. He’s got the ability to play at a high level NC State is the latest to offer him as he already holds offers from Miami, Wake Forest, VCU and other high-major.
Kuluel Mading Kuluel Mading 6'10" | C The Burlington School | 2021 State NC | 6’10” | The Burlington School
Mading is a breakout prospect in the making given his ability to protect the rim and play in the pick-and-roll. He’s still raw on the offensive end but does well running rim-to-rim and in the fastbreak. His biggest strength is his ability to defend the paint. He’ll rack up blocks and rebounds in bunches when he’s on the floor, making his presence felt. Howard, North Carolina Central, Clemson, East Carolina and a few others have offered.
Jamylan Blakeney Jamylan Blakeney 6'7" | C Forest Hills | 2021 State NC | 6’7″ | Combine Academy
Blakeney has had a rather quiet summer on the grassroots scene. He’s a versatile forward that can guard players on the wing and fly around for blocked shots. He had a productive season at Combine Academy last year and should battle in the frontcourt this year for minutes. He holds an offer from Hampton and is drawing interest from Elon.
Jonathan Kurtas Jonathan Kurtas 6'10" | C Lake Norman Christian | 2021 State NC | 6’10” | Lake Norman Christian
Kurtas is an emerging center prospect with the ability to play inside and out. He’s mobile enough to guard smaller forwards and takes up space in the paint. He also has the ability to roam outside the paint and shoot the basketball. He’ll certainly be a big name to watch in the frontcourt with the addition of Mikey Williams to their roster.
AJ Allenspach AJ Allenspach 6'8" | C Lake Norman Christian | 2021 State NC | 6’8″ | Lake Norman Christian
Allenspach will be a new face in the Lake Norman Christian rotation that’s already committed to Army’s 2021 recruiting class. Allenspach is another mobile big man that likes to operate around the rim and finish with authority. Defensively, he uses his strength and size to play physical and protect the rim. He’ll be another prospect that should bolster Lake Norman Christian’s lineup.
Tavis Bridges Tavis Bridges 6'8" | C Winston-Salem Christian | 2021 State NC | 6’8″ | Winston-Salem Christian
Bridges is a developing big man talent that will be a new face at Winston-Salem Christian after spending time at Moravian Prep. He’s got nice footwork and length that he uses well to defend and roam the paint. As his confidence grows, so should his range shooting the ball. He’s got nice touch on his shot and has shown he can knock down shots at the mid-range and 3-point level. He holds an olffer from Chowan.
Josiah Dow Josiah Dow 6'7" | C West Charlotte | 2021 State NC | 6’7″ | West Charlotte
Dow is a bruiser in the post at 6-foot-7 that uses his frame well to establish position in the post and stay true to himself in the paint. He’s a burden on the boards, especially on the offensive glass, where he gets a ton of clean-up baskets. He’s a familiar name at West Charlotte and should be their lead option in 2020-21.
Joseph Ferrante Joseph Ferrante 6'8" | C South Mecklenburg | 2021 State NC | 6’8″ | South Mecklenburg
Ferrante is a growing name in the Hoop State at South Mecklenburg. It helps that he’s a lefty, but he’s got the ability to roam the paint and on the perimeter. He’s due for a breakout season with South Meck after averaging 13.0 ppg, 8.0 rpg and 2.0 bpg as a junior. Catawba and UNC-Pembroke have offered so far.
Eric Wynn Eric Wynn 6'9" | C Wilson Prep | 2021 State NC | 6’9″ | Wilson Prep
Wynn is a traditional big man who’s coming along on the interior. He came on strong with Garner Road Whitley this past summer as a back-to-the-basket threat. As he develops his conditioning and becomes more of a presence on defense, look for his stock to grow a ton. He holds an offer from St. Augustine’s.
Zyun Reeves Zyun Reeves 6'8" | C East Forsyth | 2021 State NC | 6’8″ | East Forsyth
Reeves is already headed to NC State to play football but it hasn’t slowed him down on the hardwood. He’s a bruiser in the post on both ends that likes to play physical and grind on both ends. He’ll give East Forsyth a strong anchor on the defensive end to work with.
