Weekend Recap: AAU Results (FREE)

Kentucky Select 17u struggled to an 0-4 record at the Bearcat Classic. Jacob Deere Jacob Deere 6'6" | PF Cooper | 2021 State KY had a solid weekend, averaging a double-double. Grant Profitt Grant Profitt 6'0" | PG Scott | 2021 State KY led the Select group all weekend while doing a little bit of everything and excelling as a rebounder from the guard spot.

Pride Athletics went 2-2 at the Bearcat Classic. Zion Thomas Zion Thomas 6'1" | SG East Jessamine | 2021 State KY of East Jessamine was solid all weekend long. 2022 Andrew Floyd of Raceland had a solid weekend averaging 7 points and 8 assists per game all weekend. Pride also got solid contributions from Khamari McMullen, DeAjuan Stepp DeAjuan Stepp 6'5" | SF West Jessamine | 2021 State KY and Dev Johnson.

The Kentucky Defenders went 1-2 at the Bearcat Classic. Holy Cross’ Blake Robinson Blake Robinson 6'2" | SF Holy Cross Covington Ku | 2021 State KY averaged 15 points and 7 rebounds per game while Lloyd Memorial’s Zaire Monroe Zaire Monroe 6'1" | SF Lloyd Memorial | 2021 State KY had 14 points and 8 rebounds and Walton-Verona’s Connor Davis had a good all around weekend.

The Nky Wizards went 1-3 at the Bearcat Classic. Jeremiah Israel averaged 16 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists while Kyle Huelsman averaged 12 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists.

16u Results:

Kentucky Select went 2-2 at the Bearcat Classic. Ryan Davis was efficient on offense and rebounded the ball at a high level. Garrett Vogelpohl averaged a double-double for the weekend as he posted averages of 12 points and 11 rebounds per game.

Kentucky Future Elite went 6-0 and won the Bearcat Classic. Tyson Barrett Tyson Barrett 6'8" | PF Frederick Douglass | 2023 FL had games of 17 and 25. Jaden Green scored 30 in the semifinals while Tim Hall Tim Hall 6'6" | PF Westminster Catawba | 2023 State SC added 19. In the championship game, Kanye Henderson Kanye Henderson 6'3" | SG Henry Clay | 2022 State KY scored 27 and Luke Imfeld Luke Imfeld 6'1" | SG Boyle County | 2022 State KY chipped in 16.

15u Results:

Kentucky Select went 2-2 at the Bearcat Classic. Philip Bierley was effective on both ends of the court and averaged a double-double for the weekend. Guard Eli Johnson Eli Johnson 6'1" | PG Pikeville | 2024 State KY shot the ball well all weekend, especially from deep.

Quinn Anvils went 5-1 and won the Silver Bracket at the Bearcat Classic. Zamarion McCown, Greg Cole, Malachai Hamilton, Kirk Lemons and Martin Keltee all had very strong weekends for the Anvils squad.

Kentucky Future Elite went 4-2 on the weekend, losing the Silver title to the Anvils. Nick Spalding Nick Spalding 6'0" | PG Paul Laurence Dunbar | 2023 State KY averaged 21 points and 9 rebounds per game on the weekend. Ethan Cooper went for 33 in one game and 2024 Zander Carter played up all weekend and thrived, including a 29 point game.

The Kentucky Defenders didn’t submit a record but were led in scoring by Terrel Henry from Mason County. Newport’s Mykel King led the team in assists and Aiden Jones of Covington Catholic had a 10 point/8 rebound game.

14u Results:

The Ky Kings won the Midwest Circuit, beating a very talented Louisville Magic squad in the title game. They finished the league 11-1 after a 4-0 weekend. The roster consists of Cutter Boley, Connor Hodge, Cole Hodge, Shaun Boykins, Grant Neal, Tyson Beverly, Trent Noah Trent Noah 6'7" | SF Harlan County | 2024 State #139 Nation KY , Jaylan Rigdon, Christian Viers, Trey Worley, Jack Fischer, Gavin Chadwell and Will Bishop.
