Players Only League: Top Wings

<p>The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the summer session, which has decreased the amount of opportunities for players to face good competition. Teams have been creative as they are trying to provide their players with chances to face other teams. The Players Only League is a good example as players were able to showcase their ability against good competition. Here are the top wings from the Players Only League.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="931021" first="Darren" last="Tuck"], 6’4 SG NJ Panthers 16U (Immaculata) 2022</strong></p> <p>Tuck had a strong outing on the opening day of the Players Only League as he showed why he is one of the top rising juniors in Somerset County. The 6’4 wing was at his best in transition as he pushed the pace to give himself easy opportunities around the basket. Tuck showed his ability to get by his defender off the bounce in the halfcourt and was able to finish through contact. He played good defense and made good decisions with the ball in his hands.Tuck is a talented wing prospect who should continue to have a good summer for the NJ Panthers 16U team.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1013098" first="Noah" last="Taylor"],6’4 SF NJ Panthers 15U (Colonia) 2023</strong></p> <p>Taylor was absolutely dominant in the Players Only League as he simply could not be stopped down low. The 6’4 forward used his strong frame to score through contact and showed off a nice release on his free throw. Taylor hit a couple of reverse layups over the weekend, proving he is more than just a power player down low. He works hard on the glass at both ends and had a good showing on the defensive end. Taylor is a strong forward option who helps the NJ Panthers 15U team continue their strong play.</p> <p><strong>Kevin Dittman, 6’4 SG/SF Unity Legends 17U (Blair Academy) 2021</strong></p> <p>Dittman had a strong showing over the weekend as he showed off his all-around game. The 6’4 lefty has a nice shooting stroke and does not need a lot of space to get his shot off. Dittman has a nice handle and is athletic enough to finish above the rim. He moves well without the ball and is a solid on-ball defender. Dittman is a versatile offensive weapon who should continue to help the Unity Legends 17U team.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="900353" first="Isaiah" last="Hill"], 6’3 SG NJ Panthers 17U (Union Catholic) 2021</strong></p> <p>Hill’s second half against Hoop Heaven Hawks Elite was nothing short of elite as he was almost unstoppable. The athletic 6’3 guard attacked the basket hard, made tough layups around the rim and stroked a pair of three-pointers in the second half. Hill played with extreme confidence over the weekend and was unafraid to take a pull-up in the halfcourt. He has a good handle and played solid defense. Hill is a talented guard who should see his stock rise with more performances like that for the NJ Panthers 17U team.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="931029" first="Chase" last="Clarke"],6’5 SF Unity Legends 16U (Newark Academy) 2022</strong></p> <p>Clarke may play more closer to the basket for Newark Academy, but he proved that he is capable of playing on the wing. The 6’5 forward attacks the basket with a purpose and is unafraid of contact. Clarke can finish above the rim and showed off his range with a three-pointer in the opening game of the weekend. He skies for rebounds on both ends and uses his athleticism to challenge shots around the rim.
