Here are a handful of 17U’s I was able to catch a glimpse or two of during the weekend.

Team: Aim High

[player_tooltip player_id="869586" first="Logan" last="Turner"] (SG, 6-4, Centennial) - Absolute deadeye bomber with uber confidence, also a high riser on the break and off the bounce, poised for monster season on the ATL-area landscape as his offensive ability is undeniable

[player_tooltip player_id="806714" first="RJ" last="Noord"] (PG, 6-3, Heritage-Conyers) - Sleek point guard with a burst, innate scoring ability but nice eyes finding teammates, big-time D-1 prospect with all the tools at both ends

[player_tooltip player_id="869594" first="Omarion" last="Smith"] (PF, 6-5, Douglas County) - Incredible hops, explosive athlete who can get his points quick and easy before defenders can react, likes it 8 feet and in, fantastic shot-blocker

[player_tooltip player_id="830573" first="AJ" last="White"] (PG, 5-10, Chattahoochee) - Likely the state’s best player under 6-0, still getting buckets in droves, A+ ballhandler and runs the break like few others, electric scorer when given just a sliver

Team: AC Georgia

Mannie Harris (PG, 6-3, Mitchell County) - Perhaps the best overall PG at the tournament, great speed with the ball, a ton of moxie and scoring chops, elite next-level penetrator

[player_tooltip player_id="869643" first="Joseph" last="Scott"] (SF, 6-7, Denmark) - Major improvements in movement and shooting touch, already a physical beast in near the basket, big-time rebounder and defender

[player_tooltip player_id="677695" first="Josh" last="Reed"] (SF, 6-5, Pace Academy) - Playing up with the 17U’s, a 2022 rising prospect who was not at all overmatched, great body, terrific rebounder and defender, athletic near the basket, excellent footwork and hands

Team: Atlanta All-Stars

[player_tooltip player_id="806726" first="Broc" last="Bidwell"] (PG, 6-0, Milton) - Confident with ball, excellent passer and decision-maker, range out to 22+

[player_tooltip player_id="806756" first="Isaac" last="Brito"] (CG, 6-4, Trinity Christian) - Showed a lot of versatility, impressive all-around skills, unselfish but has a raw scorer’s mentality when assertive

Cam Lee (SG, 6-2, Walnut Grove) - With Aim High’s [player_tooltip player_id="869594" first="Omarion" last="Smith"] perhaps the best athlete at the tournament, explosive off the deck, speed with and without the ball, showed it all scoring from every level

Team: North Metro Elite

[caption id="attachment_1017017" align="alignright" width="225"] North Metro Elite vs AC Georgia[/caption]

[player_tooltip player_id="869638" first="Kevin" last="Taylor"] (6-4, SF, Allatoona) - Had a nice tournament at both ends, showing defensive chops of late guarding multiple positions, still showed his terrific shooting range, but also been mixing it up more inside

[player_tooltip player_id="869629" first="Kristian" last="Ford"] (6-4, SG, East Paulding) - Did nothing this past weekend to take away his designation as one of the summer’s top players to date, scores from everywhere, defends, rebounds, he and Taylor both drew quite a bot of attention from coaches from the live stream

[player_tooltip player_id="869604" first="Bobby" last="Moore"] (6-5, SF, McEachern) - Powerful, assertive, able to guard the point all the way down the 5, continues to find his spot on the NME roster and is in line to catch a ton of looks with that offensive and defensive versatility

Team: ATL Hoops

[player_tooltip player_id="806752" first="Miles" last="Kelly"] (SG, 6-5, Parkview) - Impressive scorer with all the ability to kill you from any spot, moves with a fluidity which makes him difficult to guard, great use of the bounce to create space or can dial it up on the catch and shoot, a big-time riser who will be among ATL-Metro’s best scorers this winter

Team: Team Georgia Magic

[player_tooltip player_id="806710" first="Kowacie" last="Reeves"] (SG, 6-6, Westside Macon) - Best player at the tournament, incredibly polished scoring skills from all 3 levels, simply a better athlete than virtually anyone guarding him, well-known high-major talent on his way to Florida
