Gabe Ascher Gabe Ascher 5'8" | PG Wautoma | 2022 State WI – 2022 – PG – Wisconsin Blizzard Ivory
5-foot-10 point guard that can flat out score the rock. Averaged 17.1 points per game and hit 51 3-pointers as a sophomore. Very speedy and crafty when he’s on the ball. Makes up for his lack of size with excellent touch around the rim and extended range from beyond the arc. When he goes to the bucket, understands how to shield himself from shot blockers and adjust his shooting motion/arc to get a clean look.
Tyler Borowski Tyler Borowski 6'2" | PG Appleton East | 2022 State WI – 2022 – PG – Wisconsin Crusaders
Borowski played very well in the few times we were able to get eyes on him last summer. A lot to like about this rising junior. Borowski is a skilled floor general with break-you-down and shot-creating ability. He plays with good pace on the ball and has a knack for changing speeds to keep defenders guessing. Might be a score-first point guard, but also has a natural feel for the game and likes to create for his teammates when defenses collapse.
Jeffery Brazziel Jeffery Brazziel 6'4" | SF Martin Luther | 2022 #159 Nation AZ – 2022 – SF – Wisconsin Playground Club
The top ranked player in the 2022 class, Brazziel makes his return to the Prep Hoops Circuit. Due to WIAA transfer rules, Brazziel was forced to play JV last season at Milwaukee Destiny. A dominant scoring machine who makes it look effortless at times, Brazziel holds numerous early Division 1 offers, including Maryland. The 6-foot-4 lefty is a smooth slasher with a rapidly improving jumper.
Kenny Garth Kenny Garth 6'2" | CG Westosha Central | 2022 State WI – 2022 – G – World Hoops Elite
One of the biggest risers in 2022, Garth turned a lot of heads this season at Westosha Central. The lefty is a versatile prospect who can play anywhere on the perimeter, including point guard. At 6-foot-2, Garth is a terrific isolation scorer. He thrives as a mid-range, pull-up jump shooter. Garth also has the tools/measurables to develop into a lockdown defender. A handful of Division 1 programs have started expressing interest this summer.
Luke Haertle Luke Haertle 6'2" | SG Lake Country Lutheran | 2022 State WI – 2022 – SG – Wisconsin Playground Club
Heartle is now 6-foot-4 and garnering Division 1 attention this summer. Haertle had a huge summer in 2019 and will look to build on that. A strong, tough-minded wing with a blue collar mentality and ability to rise up in the clutch, Haertle just elevates himself and his team in big games. Haertle can do a lot offensively — post up on the block, knock down open triples, slash to the bucket, and create off the bounce. He also doesn’t shy away from challenges, often wanting to defend the other team’s best player.
Grant Martin Grant Martin 6'0" | CG Menomonee Falls | 2022 State WI – 2022 – G – ABC Young Lions
A terrific 3-point shooter, Martin simply can’t be left alone. He’s under six-feet, but Martin can absolutely light it up from downtown. He’s also consistent as an off-the-dribble shooter when defenders fly out too fast. Martin forces defenders to be hesitant to supply help-side defense and will make defenders pay for lackadaisical coverage.
Marshawn Robinson Marshawn Robinson 6'3" | SG Waukesha South | 2022 State WI – 2022 – SG – Milwaukee Sharks
Schools shouldn’t let this kid fly under the radar. The athletic tools are there and Robinson is showing signs of becoming more skilled. Last summer, Robinson was a prospect who had to score at the rim, using a dangerously quick first step and his blow-by ability. He’s steadily improved his handles and outside jumper to make himself more of a complete threat. One of the better athletes in his class, Robinson can explode to the rim and is a heckuva weapon in transition.
Jack Rose Jack Rose 6'5" | SG Westosha Central | 2022 State #213 Nation WI – 2022 – SG – Wisconsin Playground Club
Rose picked up his first scholarship offer from UW-Milwaukee and he’s far from done. A knockdown shooter who can hit from all three levels, Rose is one of the top pure shooters in the state. The 6-foot-4 junior is one of those prospects that just doesn’t get fazed by tight defense. If he’s in a rhythm, it’s likely going down.
Carter Thomas Carter Thomas 6'5" | PF Neenah | 2022 State WI – 2022 – PF – Wisconsin Crusaders
An emerging post prospect who could be one of the biggest breakout players in the state next season, Thomas showed some nice flashes for Neenah as a sophomore. A mobile big who can do the dirty work on the inside, but also has offensive skill and budding versatility, Thomas is a prospect schools will want to monitor closely over the next year.
Kade Van Asten Kade Van Asten 6'4" | SF Little Chute | 2022 State WI – 2022 – SF – Wisconsin Blizzard Donaldson
6-foot-5 small forward with three-level scoring ability, including an effective mid-range game. Spaces the floor well with catch-and-shoot ability. When he gets into the paint, Van Asten can knock down tough, contested jumpers from 12-18 feet.
Landon Van Calster Landon Van Calster 6'6" | SF Freedom | 2022 State WI – 2022 – SF – Team 1848
Van Calster has very good positional size at 6-foot-6 and is catching Division 2 looks this summer. Showed a lot of promise on tape as a fluid athlete who handles the ball in the open floor or in the half court. Van Calster’s size also allows him to shoot right over the top if he’s not crowded.
