#HardWorkSZN Classic: 2021 Illinois Stock Risers

<p>The #HardWorkSZN Classic in Omaha, Nebraska this past weekend saw a ton of Illinois prospects hit the floor.  Time to look back at the event in our superlatives series.  Here is our <strong>#HardWorkSZN Classic: 2021 Illinois Stock Risers</strong>!</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="920945" first="Jaehshon" last="Thomas"] (Beyond Ball College Prospects)</strong></p> <p>Thomas only played on Saturday, but in the one game we saw the Whitney Young rising senior was outstanding.  The D1 combo guard did a little bit of everything in his performance.  The strong bodied guard is known for his ability to get downhill attacking with strength.  Did that in this game for several finishes at the cup.  Pushed it in transition and his passing was really on point.  He found guys in the open floor, had nice entry passes into the post, and worked well in the pick and roll.  Hit one mid-range shot.  Got after it defensively as well.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="920959" first="Nathanael" last="Hoskins"] (Beyond Ball College Prospects)</strong></p> <p>Hoskins is a combo guard in this class that flies a bit under the radar, but he has always been super consistent.  That could be said once again about his play over the weekend.  The Danville guard is a crafty left handed guard that has strength.  Bit of a slow mo type game off the bounce, but he always ends up at the hoop where he has good body control as a finisher.  Crisp ball handler that gets in and out of traffic.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="995972" first="Damian" last="Zivak"] (Team RWA)</strong></p> <p>This 6’6” Barrington wing is a player that we really liked off his high school tape.  Plus size for position and a strong body.  He can really shoot it off the catch as he drilled several threes in their first game of the day on Sunday.  Showed some toughness and athleticism around the hoop on a few conversions as well.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="952130" first="Kennedy" last="Brown"] (Team RWA)</strong></p> <p>Brown will be doing a prep year next season after recently reclassifying to the 2021 class.  Nice combination of size, strength, and mobility.  He has a knack for blocking shots on the defensive end and crashes the glass offensively.  Upside an offensive weapon that should emerge as a D1 guy with a year of prep.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="765212" first="Ismail" last="Habib"] (Illinois Hoopstars)</strong></p> <p>This St. Laurence point guard had his moments over the weekend in the championship run for the Hoopstars.  Compact guard that speed is the name of his game.  Burst with the rock in both the half court and transition.  Excellent mid-range game pulling up from 15-18 feet and stretching it out to three.  Gets elevation off the floor.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="921004" first="Terrance" last="Moncrief"] (Illinois T-Wolves)</strong></p> <p>Moncrief is the leader of the T-Wolves emotionally and verbally.  He really got into the game against RWA with his shot making, shifty ball handling, and active hands on the defensive end.  Intense player at the point.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="920983" first="Ashawn" last="Burbridge"] (Illinois T-Wolves)</strong></p> <p>Burbridge continues to produce at a high rate.  The undersized four man was all over the glass once again for second chance points.  Slowly starting to show he can handle it a little more too.</p>
