You might not be able to find their hometown on a map, but that hasn’t stopped them from making a name for themselves.
5-10 PG Tostadas Pouncey – Long County
Has the neon green light to pull from deep. Hit 88-235 (37%) from three. Rarely shoots from inside the arc (75 attempts). Averaged 13.1 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.3 steals.
6-3 G Bobby Little – Burke County
Long rangy guard put up 14.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 3 steals per game. Diverse offensive attack headlined by three-point stroke (51-182; 28%). Length makes him a valuable perimeter defender.
6-6 F Shamdarius Echols – Cedar Grove
Big man averaged 5.5 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game while shooting 52% from the field. Consistency needs to improve but can dominate the paint for stretches at a time.
6-6 F Jamichael Stillwell – Douglass
High-motor especially on the glass. Highpoints rebounds and goes after every ball. Outstanding length makes him a very good defender that guards multiple positions. Protects the rim but also is quick enough to move his feet and slow down guards on the perimeter. Can attack from the high post on offense and has improved foot work on the block. Can occasionally hit the open three.
6-3 CG David Perchik – Westminster
Scored 17 points per game during the post season. Lefty has been known to hit the big shot. Scores on the perimeter as a three-point shooter but can drive and finish with craftiness. Majority of his offense comes on the left side of the floor.
6-5 F DeCameron Porter – LaFayette
Long, lean and loose. Has a high motor and crashes the glass with his extendo-arms. Cleans up shots at the rim with his shot blocking. Finishes with authority up close with big bounce. Covers a lot of ground with long strides. Has a high release on his jumper and connects from both mid-range and three-point line. Posted 15.8 points, 13.4 rebounds and 3.2 blocks per game.
6-5 F Haden Newport – Murray County
Solid forward that does the little things well. Has the ability to be a playmaker at the point-forward position, able to start his own fast breaks and get others involved. Has three-point range. Versatility causes problems.
