The Phhacility exposure camp took place last weekend. Hosted by recruiting legend Gerry Freitas, the camp featured instructions, drills and 5 on 5 competition. It also featured several dynamic playmakers. In this article we take a look at some of the top Point Guards from the two day event.

[player_tooltip player_id="748739" first="Devon" last="Arlington"] 6’3 San Marcos 2022 (#12PHSC 2022) - Arlington is a neck up specialist, who loves to use his frame to create contact, and separation. Has a good handle, and can make open shots, however his best skill is hitting guys with on time and on target passes.

[player_tooltip player_id="701263" first="Orlando" last="Gonzales"] 5’10 St Mary’s 2022 (#48PHA 2022) - Gonzales got wherever he wanted all weekend. Has a little wiggle combined with surprising speed. He did a great job of creating shots for himself off the bounce.

Jayden Morris 5’9 Sacramento 2022 (featured image) - Was really impressed by Morris. He let the game come to him, and showed off his skill set whenever given the opportunity. Has blow by ability, can beat you with his jumper, and was extremely good at finishing in the lane with runners and floaters.

PJ Volz 6’1 McClintock 2022 - Volz got banged up on Sunday, but he was terrific enough on Saturday to make the list. Played the position well, showed good poise, above average vision and Knocked down open outside shots, when left alone.

Jayson Matthews 5’10 Grant 2022 - Matthews played on a loaded team, but showed the ability to facilitate and make plays when given the opportunity. The jitterbug PG showed a good handle, shiftyness, and nice blow by ability.

[player_tooltip player_id="703811" first="Jason" last="Kimbrough Jr"] 6’0 Mountain Pointe 2021 (#35PHA 2021) - Kimbrough was one of the better defensive guards at the camp. He was good both on ball and in help situations. Offensively showed good slashing and at the rim finishing ability.

[player_tooltip player_id="701246" first="Nathan" last="Calmese"] 6’1 Mesquite 2022 (#7PHA 2022) - Because of his scoring ability you could almost categorize Calmese as a combo, but he did show good vision, and passing ability. A knock down shooter, with the ability to thrive from either backcourt position.

[player_tooltip player_id="809719" first="Riley" last="Fornerette"] 5’10 Phoenix Prep 2021 (#88PHA 2021) - Fornerette was just ok on Saturday, but on Sunday he showed the same thing I saw when I watched him play this winter. He has a tricky handle, good vision and knocked down open shots.

[player_tooltip player_id="809680" first="Ricardo" last="Sarmiento"] 6’0 Phoenix Prep 2021 - Sarmiento is a good floor general. A pitbull defender that gives maximum effort, Sarmiento facilitated the offense, and impacted the games with his passing and leadership abilities.
