With no spring and summer basketball going on we wanted to do a deep dive into the prospects across the state by reviewing their season long highlight tapes and giving our evaluation of their strengths as a prospect along with looking how they project long term. Here is our Film Room: 2023 Chicago North Suburbs Prospects!

Super impressed with this 6’5” shooting guard from the north suburbs. As a freshman he averaged 12.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game. Long and thin build with plenty of time to add strength moving forward. As a perimeter shooter he has a lightning quick release. Very fluid transition from catch to shot. Moves extremely well without the ball to get open. Handles it with such ease and creativity. Smooth acceleration with the ball in his hands getting to the cup. Likes the runner game. Can take his man down to the post if they are smaller than him. Works well in pick/roll situations as a distributor. Passes ahead in transition throwing passes over the top of the defense to his teammate at the other end. Just overall an uber skilled game that is very translatable toward the next level. D1 programs need to be monitoring him early in the process.

The 6’2” shooting guard gets a bit over shadowed by his older brother Max who is an elite 2021 prospect, but Cameron has a chance to develop into a D1 player in his own right. Long and thin frame. Very skilled all-around game that likes using his creative handles getting in the lane, changing gears, and scoring with runners. Also has a nice pull up jump shot from 15-18 feet with easy elevation. Can connect from three as well on occasion.

This 6’0” point guard has some athletic pop at the lead guard spot. Capable spot up shooter, but he is most effective as a distributor. Excellent passing feel in the half court. Passes with flair and reads the defense extremely well.
