Here is the Austin Rankings Series: 2021 Forwards #11-15:
#11 – Kade Killeen | 6-6 SF | St. Michaels Catholic Academy
As a tall and long forward prospect, Killeen dominated TAAPS 5A District 4 during his junior campaign as a sharpshooting specialist. Killeen can light it up from beyond-the-arc and has the ability to catch fire as a catch-and-shoot weapon from three-point territory. Killeen’s shooting range extends all across the floor as he has shown he can hit from the corner, top of the key, and on either wing. Earned TAAPS All-District 4-5A First Team, and TAAPS 5A All-State Honorable Mention.
#12 – Keegan Pugh | 6-8 C | Geronimo Navarro
Standing at 6’8″ with a huge frame, Pugh is one of the taller 2021 prospects from the Austin area. With a smooth mid-range shot and several different post moves including a hook-shot, Pugh is just scratching the surface of his offensive potential. Pugh has shown the ability to finish with either hand and utilizes his size to his advantage in the low post. On defense, Pugh is a brick down low and is hard to get a shot up against.
#13 – Trenton Jackson | 6-3 SF | St. Andrews Episcopal School
The first word that comes to mind when watching Jackson’s hudl tape is: explosive. Jackson explodes in and out of his cuts and has great vertical burst when going towards the rim or bringing down rebounds. He plays physical in the low post and shows good strength when playing against bigger opponents. On offense, he shows good movement skills in the low post, including an impressive spin move, and is a smooth finisher near the rim. Jackson is also a strong passer who displays good court vision.
#14 – Cole Blair | 6-2 SF | Georgetown East View
Blair was a standout player for East View during his junior year averaging 8.8 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game. His technically sound jump shot makes him a treat to score from beyond-the-arc, as well as his ability to nail mid-range pull-up jumpers. Blair is smooth to get to the rim and does a good job of avoiding contact and finishing. Has demonstrated good leaping ability when going up for boards or contesting opponents near the basket. Earned All-District 18-5A Second Team.
#15 – Luke Lawyer | 6-6 PF | Dripping Springs
During his junior season, Lawyer gave the Tigers a reliable low post presence as he was able to consistently crash the boards and gobble up rebounds. He shows good strength when in the paint, and runs the floor well on fast break opportunities. Lawyer is all-effort and has good anticipation when crashing the boards, where he can be a very tough player to box out for opponents. He will be one of the top frontcourt players in District 26-5A this upcoming season.
