Rising Seniors to Watch in OC
Joey Longo Joey Longo 6'2" | SG Trabuco Hills | 2021 State CA-S , Trabuco Hills – Longo is a high-energy guy who uses his defensive instincts and on-ball pressure to create turnovers and offensive opportunities for his team. The 6-foot-2 guard is best when slashing his way to the basket for a paint bucket in transition. He averaged better than 13 points per game during his junior season.
Connor Collins Connor Collins 6'5" | PF Edison | 2021 State CA-S , Edison – Collins is a gritty four-man and high level competitor. The 6-foot-5 forward rebounds his area well, runs the floor with purpose and has soft hands and touch around the basket. Collins, who averaged more than 15 points per game last season, has shown some touch out to the short corners.
Addyson G’Bye Addyson G’Bye 6'0" | PG Capistrano Valley Christian | 2021 State CA-S , Capistrano Valley Christian – G’Bye has good size and physicality at the point guard position. He runs the show at CVC with toughness and a high basketball IQ and does a nice job of balancing scoring and distributing. G’Bye can fill up the scoring column both as a driver and finisher and a three-point shooter.
Christian Chai Christian Chai 6'1" | PG Cypress | 2021 State CA-S , Cypress – We love Chai’s all-around feel for the game at the point guard position. He doesn’t get rattled under pressure, makes high IQ decisions in transition and half-court settings, and brings with him the ultimate pass-first mentality. Chai uses his speed and quickness to get in the paint for finishes at the rim or to create drive-and-kick opportunities.
Jack Carroll, San Clemente – Carroll is one of the more under-the-radar shooters in all of Southern California. The 6-foot-3 shooting guard can knock down the catch-and-shoot three with consistency, but also does a nice job of stopping and popping when coming off of pin-downs and on one and two-dribble pull-up jumpers.
