NorCal’s Unsigned 2020 Wings & Posts

<p>Here is a look at some of the wings/posts in the class of 2020 in Nor Cal that are unsigned and available…</p> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>6’7 [player_tooltip player_id="603808" first="Peter" last="Gwananji"] - Sacramento HS, Sacramento </strong></p> <p>Gwananji is a strong and fairly athletic combo post with long arms who is a hard worker. He handles the ball a little and can pass it. He moves ok without the ball and is a fairly good face up mid-range shooter. His post up game could use some polish. Gwananji is a solid rebounder who outlets the ball fairly well to start the break. He is a high-level Division II prospect.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>6’8 Dischon Jackson - St Patrick-St Vincent HS, Vallejo                          </strong></p> <p>A true postman, Jackson is an ok athlete who runs fairly well. He has some strength and long arms.  He moves ok without the ball, has a solid one-bounce drive and can dribble operate on the block. Jackson has a mini jump hook and a turnaround shot inside. He’s also a fairly good mid-range shooter. He rebounds well and can block and change shots at the defensive end. His effort is inconsistent and that is the issue with him.  He has high major potential IF the light turns on…</p> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>6’6 Tejon Sawyer - Salesian Prep, Richmond                                 </strong></p> <p>Sawyer big-bodied postman (who needs to get his body better) with fairly good hands. He is active and moves ok without the ball.  He has nice post-up skills and is hard to guard inside. He has a solid a drop step, can use his left hand and has a no-jump hook. Sawyer is a solid rebounder in his box. Worth low major consideration if he gets his body better. No-brainer for Division II.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>6’5 [player_tooltip player_id="952892" first="Ciri" last="Sawyers"] - San Leandro HS, San Leandro                            </strong></p> <p>Sawyers is a real athletic wing who can run and jump. He is strong and has long arms.  He’s a decent/ok ball handler with some versatility as a scorer. He shoots it fairly well with 3-range and is a solid driver with a nice first step. Sawyers shows a capable pot-up game: he can dribble operate on the block, has a decent jump hook and a drop step. He’s a good rebounder who goes after the ball. He can block a shot on the defensive end. He is also competent playing the four spot. Sawyers is a very nice Division II prospect.</p> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>6’4 [player_tooltip player_id="603810" first="Gavin" last="Wilburn"] - Weston Ranch HS, Stockton                         </strong></p> <p>Wilburn is a strong-bodied wing with long arms. He handles it well and is a fairly good passer. He sees the floor on the break and finds the open man and can finish for himself. He gets to the basket on the drive and is an ok shooter with 3 range. Wilburn can dribble operate on the block and use his strength effectively. He’s a good rebounder who does pursue the ball and he outlets it fairly well. He shows some versatility with the ability to also play four or two. Wilburn is a Division I prospect who is a steal for Division II schools if that does not happen.</p>
