The Kansas High School Activities Association announced on Thursday the remaining state tournament games will not be played.
Austin Ahlquist, 5’11, G, 2020, Nemaha Central
A senior guard who made plays and looked to drive and attack the basket and score wherever he could. Ahlquist has good size and is strong and understands his role and how to get the bounce. He had eight points in the loss to Beloit.
Carson Cox, 6’0, G, 2020, Beloit
A senior guard who can score from 3-point range and drive inside. Hit a pair of 3-pointers in a matter of minutes and showed good hustle and activity and movement on defense. He has good speed, size and 6’0 and runs the floor and plays off the ball when he doesn’t need to dribble.
Scott Ewing, 6’3, G/F, 2020, St. Mary’s
He didn’t look to score but was extremely active as a passer and defender. Ewing has good size and good speed and can be seen contesting shots, looking to box out his opponents, making extra passes and diving on the floor to save the ball.
Charlie Goree, 6’3, G/F, 2021, Wichita Collegiate
Another good-sized player inside for Collegiate who has good length And looks to contest shots and protect the basket. He’s mobile down low and has good footwork and a strong frame. He also operates as a scorer down low and is a good rebounder to boot.
Hudson Gray, 6’1, G, 2020, Beloit
Another good-sized guard who is strong, physical and pays solid defense. He runs back on defense quickly and is a confident inside-outside player. He is also a good scorer and can hit outside shots from a variety of sweet spots. Gray ended the game against Nemaha Central with eight points.
