Jaxon Hurla, 5’8, G, 2022, St. Mary’s
A 3-point shooter who led all scoring at the half with nine points after two made deep balls. He’s a young player but has a lot of potential given his speed, overall toughness and offensive efficiency. Hurla runs the floor well and is great at applying pressure on the perimeter and can come away with the ball.
Rhett Murray, 5’8, G, 2020, St. Mary’s
another nice senior guard for St Mary’s who can run the floor, create some with his dribble and score when he has an open look. He moves well off the ball and is a solid three-point shooter. Murray knocked down two 3-pointers in St Mary’s win over Haven and also had some strong effort on the defensive end.
Mario Quintero, 5’4, G, 2020, Haven
A speedy guard who can connect from downtown and also get to the basket and make plays. He was 2-5 from 3-point range and made some clutch free throws down the stretch as well. quintero brings leadership and energy and has a high IQ and knows when to make plays.
Dylan Schultejans, 6’0, G, 2020, Nemaha Central
Another solid perimeter defender who has great speed and the ability to finish in transition through contact. He’s a tough-minded player who is quick and versatile and makes good plays off the ball but also looks to protect the ball and feed it inside if he doesn’t have an open shot.
Bryce Uphaus, 6’1, G, 2020, Nemaha Central
Uphaus can hit shots from the wing spot and is good at playing defense and keeping pressure on the perimeter. He can make plays as a defender and can pick away the ball and make smart passes up ahead in transition.
