Here is our exclusive look into the senior’s final season and where it will lead him in the future.
Chargois’ combination of size and silky-smooth flow in his game makes him one of the more unique prospects of the 2020 class. His three previous years at Tulsa Union have given him the ability to find his role and grow into the player he has become now. His family has been extremely important on his journey to this point in his high school career and he shared this statement with Prep Hoops.
“My family really helps me hold my standard of education just as high as basketball, I really appreciate that.”
Regarding his current recruitment status, Chargois shares with Prep Hoops that he has received interest from Kansas Wesleyan, Bethel, Redlands CC, and Murray State. He also included that the academic standards of his future school will play a key role in his college decision.
Chargois made strides over the summer in aspects of his game that are now visible to all watching. “My ball-handling and shot-creating have been my primary focus,” he said. “I just have to get in the gym every day and work to get better.”
This aspect of his game translates well with the NBA player he sees as a fit for his personal style.
“Kyle Kuzma, his pace, his speed, he really represents the kind of player I see myself as.”
All of these things come together for the sole purpose of Chargois’s senior season with Tulsa Union. “I gotta be able to score, defend and lead at an elite level,” explained Chargois. “We all know what our goal is here and we just gotta work to achieve it every day.”
