Joe Francis is letting the entire state of Michigan know that he’s here and will be a factor in the state for the next few years. He’s a combo guard from Adrian High School. Francis played grassroots basketball with Detroit REACH. Last season he averaged 7ppg, 2apg, and 2rpg. This season, Francis is scoring 21.6ppg, dishing out 2apg, and grabbing 3rpg. He’s also contributing 2.5spg.
Francis is a talented basketball player with a nice skill set. He can dominate a game offensively. If the defense gives him breathing room, Francis can pull up and bury a jumper. He has range extending beyond the arc. He’s a solid ball handler that can beat pressure and break down a defense. Francis is creative and slippery with the ball in his hands. He can provide himself and his teammates with scoring opportunities on any possession.
Francis is focused on improvement and gaining experience as a player. He’s working to develop his rebounding, help side defense, and communication. As a sophomore, he’s gaining valuable experience. Francis has 2 moments he points to as his best from this season. The first was hitting a triple to send the game against Monroe to OT, where his Adrian squad eventually won. The second was when he scored 42 points and broke the Adrian High School single game mark. Francis is looking forward to matchups this season with Ypsilanti-Lincoln, Ypsi, Chelsea, and Jackson.
Joe Francis has a lot to offer to a program at the next level. His skill set is unique and valuable. Francis would also bring a tireless work ethic which has helped him make massive improvements in his game. His shooting and court vision should transfer to the next level.
Francis is a goal driven athlete. This season, he wants to win a district championship and get to regionals. Francis is working toward a future as a college basketball player. Most importantly, while playing at the next level, he plans to earn a college degree.
Joe Francis is definitely on a good track to achieve those goals and will be an interesting and entertaining player over the coming years.
