Top Juniors
2021 6-2 CG Peyton Daniels – Tri-Cities
Already holding a handful of High Major offers before his senior season, Daniels poured in a cool 20 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 4 steals and 1 block in a come from behind 77-73 win over No. 8 East Coweta. The lethal shooter buried four threes, went 4-4 from the foul line and showed toughness when getting to the rack. Daniels has a variety of dribble combinations he uses to free himself and has diversified his game every season.
2021 6-6 F Jordan Mitchell – Shiloh
One of the biggest stock risers from Monday, Jordan Mitchell exceled in No. 2 Shiloh’s 68-62 win over No. 3 Eagle’s Landing. A wide receiver on the football team, Mitchell brought his athleticism and motor to the hardwood. Mitchell runs the floor exceptionally well and finishes on the move. He’s an active rebounder that competes for every carom. Mitchell has a soft touch around the basket. He posted 19 points (10 in the fourth quarter), 13 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 1 block. Mitchell is a nice prospect to keep an eye on.
2021 6-4 F Mario McIntosh – Tri-Cities
Not necessarily known for his offense, glue-guy Mario McIntosh played a key role in No. 6 Tri-Cities’ 77-73 win over No. 8 East Coweta. In the Bulldogs’ game-changing third quarter in which they outscored the Indians 22-4, McIntosh scored six points. He finished the day with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 1 assist. He knocked down a three in the first quarter and provided a strong effort defensively throughout the game. In a deep and balanced offense, its not often that McIntosh will have his number called as a primary option, but he an important piece that does the little things for Coach Omari Forts.
2021 6-2 CG Davon Cottle – Tri-Cities
Another Bulldog, Cottle did his damage in the first half, helping keep Tri-Cities afloat as they trailed 46-33 at halftime. Cottle finished with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Cottle is a physical combo guard with a nice jumper. His willingness to rebound stood out.
2021 6-6 F Kusamae Draper – Southwest DeKalb
A projectable athlete with a big body, Draper finished with 6 points, 6 rebounds and 1 assist against No. 2 Greenforest. Draper is more of a power forward at this point in his career but he could develop into a combo-forward with more work on his handle and jumper. He’s getting his feet wet with big minutes this season, but next year is when we will really see what type of player Draper can turn into.
