4A Week 7 Rankings/ Recap Part:1

<p>The 4A league is anyone's game after the top three teams, so our rankings 10-6 are consistently changing every week. Here are our rankings after week 7 of play.</p> <p><strong>10. Golden </strong></p> <p>Golden has lost six games this year but they have a strong win for every loss. Senior <strong>Kevin Mulligan </strong>is leading the team in every category except for blocks. Then they have one of the most impressive freshmen in the state <strong><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/alan-acevedo/"><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/alan-acevedo/">Alan Acevedo</a></a> </strong>who is averaging 11.5 points per game. They have a good match up coming up against an up and down D'Evelyn team. </p> <p><strong>9. Thomas Jefferson</strong></p> <p>Thomas Jefferson is coming off of a huge win this week beating Harrison and lost to Northfield by one. They had both of these games without there top scorer <strong><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/darius-hornbuckle/"><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/darius-hornbuckle/">Darius Hornbuckle</a></a>, </strong>who is averaging 17.4 points per game, which is quite impressive. They also have a knock down shooter, <strong><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/ryan-moe/"><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/ryan-moe/">Ryan Moe</a></a>, </strong>who is adding 10.4 points per game. They also have one of the best athletes in the state <strong><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/keshaun-taylor/"><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/keshaun-taylor/">Keshaun Taylor</a></a>, </strong>who can score by jumping over less athletic players. They have two good games coming up this week when they play Lincoln then Denver South. </p> <p><strong>8. Green Mountain</strong></p> <p>Green Mountain is coming off of a solid win against Evergreen. This team has some good height with <strong>Jason Luzayadio </strong>and <strong>Matt Sschlieper </strong>who man the paint. Leading the team is senior <strong><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/blake-schell/"><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/blake-schell/">Blake Schell</a></a> </strong>who is averaging 12.5 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. They have some challenging match ups coming up this week when they play Dakota Ridge and Wheat Ridge.</p> <p><strong>7. Skyline</strong></p> <p>Skyline has some good wins recently beating Erie and Holy Family. This team is being led by <strong>Austin Robison, </strong>a football star who can ball out on the hardwood. He is averaging 13.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.8 steals per game. They also have a junior <strong>Adrian Compian </strong>who is adding 12.3 points per game. They have a true test coming up this week when they play the second ranked Mead team. </p> <p><strong>6. Harrison</strong></p> <p>Harrison is dropping out our top five due to two recent unexpected losses to a scrappy Thomas Jefferson team and Widefield. <strong><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/donta-dawson/"><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/donta-dawson/">Donta Dawson</a></a> </strong>has been keeping up his top notch production averaging 19.1 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. This team is good but is looking for another teammate who can be a consistent second option. Two players who could fill that role are <strong><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/xavier-sterling/"><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/xavier-sterling/">Xavier Sterling</a></a> </strong>and <strong><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/tayzhean-archuleta/">Tayzhean Archuleta</a>. </strong>They have a good challenge coming up this week when they play Mitchell.</p>
