Carl Albert
Maurice Cudjo – 2021 – 6’0
Cudjo set the tone early for how Carl Albert was going to play. He pushed his teammates in transition and took no possessions off on the defensive end. He was vocally present on the court at all times, helping keep his teammates focused and on their toes the whole game. Expect the junior to only improve as the season goes along.
James Locke – 2021 – 6’3
Locke came with a chip on his shoulder in this matchup. Going 3/4 from deep in the first half, Locke made it clear that Midwest City was going to have to respect his range or else the game had no chance going their way. Locke also locked in and was solid on the defensive end, calling out switches and making sure his teammates did the same. If Locke stays focused and plays within his role, he can become a big threat for Carl Albert as the season continues.
Midwest City
Christian Cook – 2020 – 6’2
Big time players make big time plays. Cook once again showed that he is a big time player. Although having a rough first quarter scoring the ball, Cook stayed focused and did the right things for his team, keeping them in the game. When they game got close and the tension grew, however, Cook shined in the clutch. From lockdown defense to fast break dunks, clutch free throws to vocal leadership, Cook embodies a leader and once again proves that there is a college roster spot out there waiting for him. All he needs to do is stick to his game.
Clance Crosbie – 2021 – 6’6
Crosbie was an excellent piece for Midwest City Tuesday night. Finishing strong around the rim and using his length to protect the paint, Crosbie is a player any coach would be thrilled to have. While not being the primary focus on the offensive end, he was a reliable source of offense; and when the defense collapsed around him, Crosbie was able to hit a shooter for a great look behind the three point line. Crosbie is the definition of a player who shines in his role.
