Today is National Signing Day for college football. On this day every year we release our All-Basketball Football Team. To be considered for this the player must be a top 100 ranked basketball prospect, but would make an outstanding football player. Here is our Offense!

Quarterback

Anthony Sayles (Niles Notre Dame)

Sayles is a QB for his high school team and might even project as a signal caller at the college level with his athleticism as a dual threat guy.

Running Back

Trent Howland (Joliet West)

Howland is a physical force on the hardwood that translates it to the gridiron to where some are saying the junior could end up at a power five school.

Running Back

Bucky Irving (Hillcrest)

Irving is one of the best running backs in the Midwest in 2021. Fast and dynamic with the ball in his hands on both the basketball court and football field.

Scat Back

Aquan Smart (Niles North)

Smart would be a playmaker with the ball in his hands as a jumbo scat back. At 6’3” with his speed he would be an outstanding pass catcher!

Wide Receiver

Christian Shumate (Bloom)

Freak show athlete that has long speed and can go high point passes with the best of them!

Wide Receiver

Brandon Weston (Morgan Park)

Weston is a tough kid that would be able to run crisp routes and use his burst to get downfield.

Tight End

Bryce Hopkins (Fenwick)

Big and physical forward projects great as a tight end with his strength, size, and ability to position for catches.

Offensive Tackle

Devon House (Sterling Newman)

House is the ideal left tackle with his size and mobility. Moves his feet very well and would be a pass protector for our QB.

Offensive Tackle

Frank Jakubicek (Cary Grove)

This Belmont commit we will put at right tackle as he can run block with his power downhill.

Guard

Keydrian Jones (Collinsville)

Jones is a wide bodied guard that has improved his athleticism being able to anchor and pull in the run game.

Guard

Chris Hodges (Schaumburg)

Hodges would be a mauler inside with his toughness and use of his hands. Also has the ability to move in the run game in guard/tackle pulls.

Center

Josh Preston (Geneva)

Preston is a high IQ basketball player with toughness. Will be gritty at the point of attack and make calls at the line.

Kick Returner

Marcus Watson (Morgan Park)

Watson is one of the fastest hoopers in the state and that will continue as an elite kick returner!
