5. Lewis-Palmer (5-2)
Lewis-Palmer had a rough week with taking two losses but were undefeated before. This team won the championship last year but lost a lot of seniors and are looking for players to step up. Their winning culture keeps this team always being a threat to beat top teams. They have two redemption games coming up when they play Pueblo East then Chaparral.
4. Golden (6-2)
This week Golden beat some good teams in Sand Creek, Fossil Ridge, and Horizon. This team has beat some very good teams which makes them deserving of this high ranking. They have some good games coming up when they play a top 5A team in Ralston Valley and then they play there rival Evergreen.
3. Harrison (5-1)
Harrison took there first loss this week against Pueblo West. There junior star Donta Dawson so far is averaging 20 points per game. He has a solid group of athletes around him who can help them win games. They have a solid match up after break in Canon City.
2. Mead (5-1)
Mead has not had any tough match ups recently but have been pulling in the wins. They have one of the best coming up bigs in James Shiers who is a 6’10 sophomore who is solid big to build the team around. They also have a crazy good athlete in Trey Ward who is a good scorer. They have some tough games coming up after the break when they play Windsor and Skyline, watch put for this team this year.
1. Cheyenne Mountain (7-0)
Cheyenne Mountain is one of the few undefeated teams left in the state. They have one of the best players in the state in Javonte Johnson who is one of the top 5 scorers in the state right now. Javonte dominance on the court shows because he leads this team to beat some teams including a good Pueblo East squad. They have a good match up coming up against Sand Creek, which should be a game to watch up in the Colorado Springs area.
