(6A) No. 4 Midwest City at (5A) No. 3 Carl Albert
Christian Cook→ Regardless of the stakes, any Mid-Del matchup is going to be huge. When you add a top-five versus top-five dynamic into the mix, Tuesday night’s match between the Bombers and Titans will be a big one. For Carl Albert, having all of its athletes back following their fourth-straight football State Title last weekend will be vital to its success. For the Bombers, the leadership and consistency of senior guard Christian Cook will be as big as ever. Joshua Cleary (@JoshuaRCleary) will provide live and post-game coverage of the game.
(6A) No. 16 Choctaw at No. 4 Putnam City North
Anthony Bowen→ Eric Gooden and Anthony Bowen will look to slow down the high-powered, high-speed offensive powers of Jeremiah Johnson, Jeff & Josh Nwankwo, Kayhon Russell and Tobias Roland. The YellowJackets have been an up-and-rising team over the last couple weeks, winning three-in-a-row over ranked opponents after opening the season 0-2. The Panthers, meanwhile, have a taste for blood, coming off a 10-day hiatus after downing Putnam City West 52-50.
(6A) Bixby at No. 1 Booker T. Washington
Trey Phipps→ The shooting duo of Parker Friedrichsen and Luke Hasz will attempt to slow down Bryce Thompson, Trey Phipps, Jalen Breath and co. The Hornets have only played one game against an Oklahoma opponent so far: a 59-51 win against Jenks last week. The Spartans, who have already played five games this year, will look at the landscape as an advantage tonight. Zach Cobler (@Zbc7) will provide live and post-game coverage of the game.
(4A) No. 8 Classen SAS at (5A) No. 2 Del City
→ Nate Goodlow and the tough Eagles’ squad will look to continue its undefeated season behind the momentum of a near-30-point win against No. 5 Bishop McGuinness last week. Don’t sleep on Classen, though; with only one loss (No. 1 Heritage Hall) and a trio of top-20 wins, it may be more of a threat than the Eagles bargained for.
(2A) No. 2 Dale at 3A No. 10 Christian Heritage
→Perhaps the most interesting small-school matchup in the Oklahoma City metro Tuesday night, Christian Heritage hosts second-ranked, one-loss Dale.
(A) No. 9 Roff at (2A) No. 5 Vanoss
Ryan Dennis→ Still without its first loss, fifth-ranked Vanoss demands attention tonight, hosting ninth-ranked Vanoss. Cade Paulin, Ryan Dennis and crew come off the momentum of claiming the First National Bank Tournament last weekend and only have more doubters to disprove. Bryce McKinnis (@McKinnisBryce) will provide live and post-game coverage of the game.
