Key was so much more than just a player for Memorial. He is a leader for this team. He is the guy lifting up his teammates through adversity and not letting it get to them. He brings that with his skill on the ball to a Memorial team who need a leader to step up. He can create his own offense and score at all three levels. He has the size to play inside an out and does not shy away from contact. He also has the athleticism to guard multiple positions on the defensive end. Key will be big for the Chargers this season as they gear up for another run at state. Key also committed hours before the game to Henderson State University out of the GAC.
Brayshawn Finch Tulsa Memorial 2020 Guard
Finch’s time tonight was limited because of foul trouble. However, in the minutes he got, he was productive. He played fast on the defensive and had active hands always looking to create a turnover. He played aggressive and with a lot of fight always taking it to his opponent. He attacked the basket forcing his defender to foul him to not allow an easy bucket. He finished with 4 points all from the charity stripe. If Finch can stay out of foul trouble he will be a valuable asset to the Chargers this season.
WIll Hill Tulsa Memorial 2020 Guard
Hill was all over the court for Memorial tonight. He played fast, strong and disciplined. He was soaring for rebounds against much bigger opponents and causing problems on both sides of the ball. Hill might not of scored a lot tonight, finishing with 5 points, but he did the things that coaches want. He played sound defense and forced turnovers. He was in the right positions and knew where and when he was supposed to be. Hill will be a great glue guy this season for the Chargers.
Jaylin Williams Northside 2020 Post
Williams showed why he is one of the most sought after recruits from Arkansas. He played strong and physical in the paint and their was not a guy on the court who could match up with his measurables. His size was such an advantage that Memorial had to double team him to try to get the ball out of his hands. Williams showed tonight that he is not just a post though. He made multiple shots from the perimeter to show that his outside game can be dangerous as well. He also just had this confidence about himself. It was not a cocky look. He just knew what he could do and went and did it. Williams was the best player on the court tonight and he produced the stats to go along with it. He finished with 20 points and 16 rebounds, going 9-11 from the free throw line.
Jacob Joe Northside 2021 Guard
Joe was the best shooter that Northside had tonight. He has a confident stroke and knocked down multiple deep threes throughout the game. Joe’s best quality about his shot is his quick release. He does not hesitate. If he is open he is pulling the trigger and that worked for him. Joe finished the game with 13 points.
Garret Keller Northside 2020 Guard
Keller is a player that thrives in controversy. He is a skilled player that his own fans love but the opponents fans hate. He played solid defense and did what his team needed him to do. He went after 50/50 balls and was diving like everything was on the line even when they had a huge lead. Keller on multiple occasions looked up at the Tulsa Memorial rowdy crowd to try to silence them after a big play. He just brings an energy to his team that is hard to match. He finished with 8 points on the night.
Noah Gordon Northside 2020 Post
Gordon was the hard worker for Northside tonight. He did not do anything spectacular, but at the end of the game the crowd looks up and he has stuffed his stat columns. He worked hard tonight creating second chance points for himself and his teammates. Keller may be the type of guy to go unnoticed for long periods of time, but that is not because he is not doing anything. He is a glue guy for this Grizzlies team. He finished the night with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
