Trent Ellison 2021 Owasso Guard
Ellison plays swarming defense and is very active on the defensive side of the ball. He plays hard and always knows his assignment. He always bodies up his opponent and makes them earn anything they get from him. He also is great in transition situations while being able to chase down his opponents to get the blocks.
Jeff NWankwo 2021 Putnam City North Wing
Nwankwo is a fast wing with a lot of length which helps his on the defensive end. He plays with his arms extended and takes away a lot of passing lanes from his opponents with his quick reactions. His length also helps him with the ability to get blocks, but a lot of his blocks come from his athleticism. He makes it tough for his opponents to shoot over him.
Maddox Bradford 2022 Putnam City North Post
Bradford is a big man with long arms. He makes his opponent’s life difficult because of his length. As long as he stays in front of his guy he makes them finish over him or through him. He gets a lot of blocks with his length. Bradford is a little raw on the defensive, but he shows a lot of potential that he could develop into an elite shot blocker.
Rondel Walker 2020 Putnam City West Guard
Walker’s name already precedes him. He is well known for his abilities but he showed a little extra this weekend. He played hard and with confidence. He is great getting his hands in the way and his ability to block shots makes him one of the better defenders in the state. He also creates a lot of turnovers and gets steals from his active hands that are always looking for ways to get the ball.
Brock Davis 2020 Holland Hall Wing
Davis is the most athletic player on Holland Halls roster. He flies around on the defensive side of the ball and plays down and smart defense. He gets physical when in the post and also has the athleticism to step out and guard on the perimeter. He is better when he is down low though. He plays excellent help-side defense, which is where he gets a majority of his blocks.
Davon Richardson 2020 Sand Springs Wing
Richardson is a lockdown defender. He guards at a high level and a unique ability to not let his opponent get past him. He is a strong, athletic Wing that can guard at multiple levels. Often times he matches up with the opponent’s best player and makes them earn it. He pushes whoever he guards to either shoot a contested shot or pass the ball away.
