Ty Ty Washington 6’4 2021 G Cesar Chavez
No secret that Ty Ty Washington is one of the best shooters in the state, if not the best. It should be no surprise that he is on this list. The kid can absolutely stroke it from anywhere on the court. It’s gotten to the point now where I’m not even shocked by some of the shots he hits…that’s daily for him.
Bailon Black 6’4 2021 G Ironwood
Bailon Black is a bit of a lesser known player, in my opinion. Ask anyone that played Ironwood last year if this kid can shoot or not. Black can pull it from the volleyball line and absolutely loves to do so. For the most part, the ball is in Black’s hands and he is asked to play make but don’t be fooled by his excellent passing…the kid’s an elite shooter.
Colin Carey 6’6 2021 F Sunrise Mountain
The tallest player by far on this list is Colin Carey. His height adds to the caliber of shooter that he is because it makes it that much more difficult for the opponents to defend his shot. Due to his height, Carey can virtually pull his shot over defenders at will. I love Carey is a spot up shooter role, I think he shoots it best off the catch rather than off the dribble.
Ricardo Sarmiento 5’10 2021 G Cesar Chavez
Off the dribble is a perfect route to our next player, Ricardo Sarmiento. This kid always impresses me with his leadership and court vision. However, Sarmiento is more than capable of scoring the ball and is an overall great scorer. I love his shooting form and he hits his off the dribble shots efficiently. He loves the dribble pull up and step back shot. He uses his quickness to bait defenders into thinking he is going into the lane and then steps back for an open shot.
