WCE AZ Fall Invite: Seniors who already made their next year decisions

This weekend I attended Ryan Silver's annual West Coast Elite AZ Fall Invite this weekend. 3 days of action for 21 teams. Many top notch 6A-2A teams plus standout preps and CAA schools. It was great seeing much variety from all across the state as far out as Yuma, AZ (Gila Ridge HS).

Here are the seniors who made their next year decisions:

MarJon Beauchamp W 6’6 Dream City Christian

-Long and lean top-tier scoring wing. He is very fluid with the ball and has an incredible pull-up off the dribble. He is an effortless leaper and defender. He is very good on the ball making it hard for his opponents to score. He rebounds the ball well and is a very good passer and is becoming a very good play-maker as he gets older. His pull-up from mid to the 3pt line plus his defense make him a top-40 type of player in the country. He decided to choose a different route then most as he will not go to college or play overseas but train for the NBA draft. He can improve his strength but has many physical tools to like and is a pro prospect.

https://twitter.com/Marjon32/status/1156943871433011200?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1156943871433011200&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fprephoops.com%2Fwp-admin%2Fpost.php%3Fpost%3D854142%26action%3Dedit

Jalin Anderson PG 6’2 Dream City Christian

-Athletic defensive scoring guard has improved his passing. He takes it more seriously to make his teammates better as he is becoming a more complete guard. His pull-up is pure off the dribble and has deep range. He is also more athletic then people realize since he is mostly a skill player. He had a nasty tip dunk in traffic that shocked everyone. Anderson verbally committed to UC Riverside

Jhaylon Martinez C 6’10 Dream City Christian

-True 5-man with nice hands and good post footwork. He can face-up to the 3p line and in. He rebounds well in his area and he allows the rest of their team to play their natural positions. He is very hard to move with great strength and plays patiently in the post. Martinez verbally committed to UNLV.

Hunter Ruck PF 6’9 Rancho Solano Prep

-Strong power forward recently committed to UC Irvine. He chose this college since how much they love utilizing their big men. He can face up to the 3pt line plus has a mans body to bang with anyone in the paint. He has wide shoulders/sturdy frame/upper body strength. His go to move is his right hand hook shot which is very hard to defend as he rises very high off the ground to attempt it. Look for him to avg a little over 10 rebs per game this HS season and has a good chance of being the POY in 2A.

Dayton Harris PG 6’2 Skyline

-Pace and feel for the game is really high. He is one of the best passers in the state and just seems to know where all his teammates are. He has good height, length and improved bounce. He has good speed with a nice burst to get into the lane and has a quick first step plus changes speeds perfectly keeping the defense off balance. His 3pt stroke has improved and has extended his range. The NAU commit is a legit POY candidate for 6A.

Kiimani Holt SG 6'3 PHH Prep

-Downhill stud with a great body and strength. He scores it through contact about as good as anyone. He is improving his perimeter shooting and seems to love the corner 3. He also is a top notch defensive player. He held some of the top opponents under their normal averages. He is a good passer and lays it on the line in every game. Had 15 points vs the talented Dream City Christian. Holt verbally committed to Portland State.

DeAndre Henry PF 6'7 PHH Prep

-Strong true 4-man who has become more athletic and skilled. He can step out to the 3pt line and in and he looks very comfortable from mid-range. He has long arms and is a big time rebounder in and out of his area using his length, strength, huge hands and bounce. He is hard to move around inside and will run through a wall to make a play for his team. Henry verbally committed to Nevada.

Alem Huseinovic SG 6'3 PHH Prep

-Bosnian sharp shooter is one of the best at it in state. He is lethal off the catch with deep range but makes many tough off balanced shots on the move. He has a stronger upper body to get to the basket. He also has strong hands to rip the opposing players pockets. He is a good passer when he isn't scoring it and plays physical defense. Like Henry, he also verbally committed to Nevada.
