Continue ReadingTraejon Davis is a 6’5 Wing that plays for the HFC Warriors homeschool program. He plays for Buddy’s Buckets on the grassroots circuit. He is a versatile player that can play anywhere from the two to the four position on the floor. Last season for HFC he averaged 23 points, 3 assists, 10 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks per game.
With his ability to play multiple positions one of his strengths is being able to defend those multiple positions at a high level. He is also a strong scorer that has the ability to score at all three levels of the game.
Davis is always working to improve his game.
“I have been working on every part of my game, just working on being a complete player, and not having any gaps in my game,” said Davis.
Davis had fun in his recruiting process and found the school for him. He took a couple of visits to different schools and really enjoyed his time. That being said, Davis has achieved the purpose of recruiting and has committed to Fort Hays State University in the MIAA conference of NCAA Division II.
As for why he chose FHSU, Davis was looking for a school that he could develop not only as a basketball player, but as a person as well. He wanted to get a great education and be able to play basketball at a high level. As for his future after basketball Davis is not exactly certain about it.
“I’m not sure exactly what I want to do, but I have a heart to work with kids, so I expect it to be in that field,” said Davis.
In the upcoming season, Davis would like to keep getting better as a player. He wants to be able to be a leader to the younger players on his team. He wants to be able to be a player that can help his teammates to be the best that they can be. He wants his team to just continue to get better day by day. He also wants his team to not lose a game, but his ultimate goal is at the end of the season to be holding a national championship.
